Use it on my Jon boat for a 50 hp outboard. Not suitable for larger engines.

Too late for me to return it but maybe I can save you the trouble. Weather and other projects delayed my install of this filter/water separator. The female threaded ports are not threaded properly for for a taper pipe thread fitting. Threaded in too deep. Two of the four ports, I could screw the fitting in with my fingers until it hex was bottomed out. I put a healthy layer of teflon tape and it felt like it might have sealed but this thing is leaking all over. Typical Chinese junk.

if you have water in your gas cans and pour it into the fuel tank of the mower or other vehicle, this filter will decant it into the clear bowl where it can be easily removed by turning one valve open to capture it in a bowl or bottle or let it run onto the ground. excellent product and well constructed. easy to mount.

I’ve ran this on my boat for years now it’s cheap and replacement filters are readily available.

I used to own a wholesale business and I bought direct from Racor, so I knew exactly what I was ordering, although I sold a slightly lower cost version that didn't have the mounting bracket and they only had one in and one out flow ports., Same exact replacement filters. Great filter assembly with a bowl that you can see if there is water in your fuel and easily drain the water off. Great pricing too on replacement filters. I installed one on my JD 5065E tractor and on two boats.Barney

As a couple other reviews indicated, throw away the plugs and hose barb connectors; they don't have pipe threads and are going to leak no matter how much glue you wrap around them. They are also made of brass which should NOT be installed in an marine environment.I am generally happy with the water separator but really don't like spending money on something I have to replace because the company packaging the parts is cheap. I would be much happier to know I have to purchase the connectors and pay less up front instead of having to pay for garbage that has to be thrown away and still make a trip to the store to get the "right" parts.I also added a couple street elbows to make installation a bit easier. This filter was installed on an inflatable boat so space is a bit of a premium; I needed the fuel lines to come up from below. After the connections were sorted out the installation was simple; just drilled a couple holes, plugged them up with some 5200, and sank the screws in.In case this isn't obvious; one thing that is seriously lacking on most smaller less expensive boats is a water separator and a fuel filter. Most marine fuel docks deliver water with their fuel even if the fuel is pure. Once you get that in your fuel delivery system on the motor (carbs, injectors, etc...) and shut the motor off you will suffer corrosion damage. Removing the water before it gets to the motor at least slows that down if not completely removing it.
