I’m not sure why ratings on this unit is lower than deserved! So I purchased an extended warranty, just in case.Download the app and connect to your WiFi and set up routines. You must set up a start/on routine and an end/off routine. Example: On at Sunset and another routine to turn off at a certain time or at sunrise.I checked the voltages with 200 foot 12/2 wire and they are better than expected. I will say my unit put out slightly more voltage than expected, but for LED bulbs this is fine and better with longer runs.Nice stainless steel case, external WiFi antenna and 300 watts - 100 watts per channel.
Never arrived. No refund!!

This transformer has only been in operation for a bit over a week, so longevity is still in question, however, so far so good. The transformer is currently running just one small led load zone. This is also only being used with wifi via smart phone - no desire for Alexa or Google Assistant so can't speak to that. The unit appears to be well built. SS so fairly heavy. Connecting heavier gauge wire, like 12 ga, requires a bit of finger gymnastics because of the stiffer sheathing, narrow space and angles the stripped ends must be maneuvered through, but you only have to do that once. People have complained about wifi connection and the app. Wifi connection took a few minutes to set up because, as the instructions say, the transformer only works with 2.4 GHz networks. My initial set up attempt failed, as I thought it might. Running a dual band router with 5 and 2.4 GHz required me to temporarily disable the 5 GHz band via the router set up (the instructions recommend contacting your internet provider to do this, although that is not necessary if you know how to access the router setup). Once 5GHz was disabled and with phone Bluetooth enabled, the transformer connected to wifi and I then reenabled the 5 GHZ band for other systems capable of 5 GHz. There have been no problems with connections since, although the transformer is not yet in its permanent location. The app is fairly primitive. When accessing the app you are asked to create a Dewenwils account, which I did not do and is not necessary to use the app/unit. The downside is that every time you access the app without an account a pop up asks you to create an account, which you must cancel out of. You should be able to turn off that request, but it's not a hardship to just cancel. Scheduling on/off operations is fairly basic and not especially well organized. For example, it is relatively easy to take a zone and schedule it to turn on and off for multiple times: on 6 pm, off 8 pm, on 9 pm, off 12 pm and so on. And you can schedule one switch or all switches to a specific schedule, but all those on/off times for all switches are dumped into one long schedule list. And every time you set a switch to turn on you must save that command and then repeat the process to set a turn off time and save that. You should be able to schedule both on and off times together and just "save" that schedule once. You should also be able to go to each zone switch individually and easily see which weekdays and times that specific switch is set to turn on and off through an intuitive graphical interface, weekly calendar, or table view of some sort. The app coding lacks elegance and organizational and editing simplicity. That said, the scheduling system does work and most people will probably just set a standard schedule and forget about it. And any of the zones can be easily turned on or off "manually" at any time through the app. The general instructions are basic with a few minor syntax oddities common to English as a second language instructions (but not terrible and not dissimilar from AI generated syntax issues so, no big deal). The scheduling instructions provide a starting place for experimenting with and how to use the various scheduling options - but trial and error will be the best teacher. In summary, I am so far happy with the transformer's performance - time will tell - but I wish those talented Chinese computer hacks would make a more refined operation/scheduling app.

I replaced a 15+ year-old 300W, 3 zone transformer with this one. I have it installed on the interior wall of my garage where the old one was.The new one is half the size, very quiet when running, and took about 10 minutes to connect and set up with the app. This does not support an optical light sensor (for dusk to dawn operations), but with the Wi-Fi connectivity and the app, you can set a schedule relative to sunrise and sunset. It seems to be well made. Assuming it lasts, this will be a great purchase.
