Really let's you get a good squeeze on them.The lock almost never works when you have them for an extended period of timeNeeds WD-40 after a while or if you are using them in wet conditions.Last pair of linemens finally gave out after 2 years of me hammering on them and beating them up. Still usable just doesn't open back up on its ownWouldn't buy any other set

Nice size and hefty. My only small gripe is that the locking latch is a bit too tight.I keep these for electrical work only and use an old cheap set for abuse around the shop.

More great tools from Dewalt. I agree that you can apply more force but not sure i would get these again. The pliers do open on their own but you have to use the lock to keep them close. I grew up using the ring finger to open pliers. I'd go with the standard pliers if I purchased more.
