This heater did not work from the first time we attempted to use it. Very disappointed.

I purchased a DeWalt DXH215HD Forced Air Multi-Fuel Heater from Amazon. The heater was delivered a couple weeks later damaged and missing parts. The box was in extremely poor condition. I don't know if the heater was damaged and missing parts prior to shipping, or happened during shipping. You spend several hundred on a nice heater for your shop, then it arrives damaged and missing parts. Hopefully, I'll be able to use the heater even though it's missing parts.

We bought this back in November and it quit working 3 months later. I tried to call Dewalt and I couldn't get an answer. They had referred me to their website so I opened up a ticket. It was then passed on to another department and we still haven't gotten a response back. It's been almost a month now and we still can't use this product. We need it to run our business and are losing money every day that we can't use it. This is a horrible item, a huge waste of money and horrible customer service.

This is exactly what we needed to heat a large work room (approx. 40' x 40') in a former body shop. It was assembled easily, all parts matching up correctly. We filled it with 5 gallons of kerosene and 5 gallons of diesel fuel. Once assembled, we positioned it in the room and flipped the switch. We instantly felt the heat and in no time you could feel the room warming up to a temperature comfortable enough to work in. I should also mention the outside temperature was below freezing at this time.

I have a 40 x 30 pole barn with a 10 foot high ceiling. Most of it has 6 inches of insulation in the walls, but the ceiling is still open. I like to work on motorcycles and tractors so I purchased this heater. I filled it up with #2 diesel, and turned it on. There is a pressure screw in the back that must be adjusted in order for it to fire. I continued to turn the screw until if finally fired, burned off the excess fuel and let it go. I stopped it, adjusted and started it again to make sure it burned the way the instructions suggested. The temperature was about 15 or 20 degrees outside, but within 30 minutes, it was almost toasty in the barn. After an hour, I had to take off my coat because I was sweating. I am planning on finishing the rest of my barn this summer, so it will take even less time and fuel to heat it up. Other than the jet engine noise, this is an awesome heather. If you have a smaller or well insulated barn, you may not need one this big, but if not, it is well worth the price.

Pros: This heater is excellent! I purchased this to do dual duty between my very large garage and jobsites. I have only run diesel fuel through it and am on my third tank. It is instantly warm and manages to warm my garage to 50 degrees Fahrenheit on a 25 degree day in about 40-50 minutes while keeping one garage door fully open! I read a ton of reviews on many different products before making the decision to purchase this unit and am glad I did!Cons: The instructions for assembly are poor at best. That said, if you have any experience assembling equipment, it is mostly intuitive. Looking at the picture on the box did more for me than the instruction manual. This unit isn’t too heavy when empty for one person to lift, however, once filled to capacity it definitely becomes a two person lift!On first startup, I turned the switch on and it hummed but did not fire. I repeated this process about 5 times before it presumably primed itself with fuel and fired up. I didn’t see any mention of this in the instruction manual.Overall, I am very happy with the heater! I had it on a job site this week one morning when it was 17 degrees outside and it did a great job of warming the workers up... maybe too good, actually, as they now expect me to bring it out every day. Sorry boys!It seems to last a full day on a full tank so with diesel prices the way they are, it’s not the cheapest thing around but it definitely does it’s job! I would love to additionally get the new radiant heater that looks like it’s built onto a hand truck but I’ll hold off for next year for that.

DeWalt 215,000 BTU forced air heater was deliver fast, easy to put together, less than 15 mins. Filled with diesel fuel and it fired right up with no adjustments needed at all. Ran for a hour then shut down waited about 30-45 sec and restarted without any issues. ( have had problems with other brands that needed to completely cool down before the heater will restart, but not with this heater) Thermostat works fine for my use. Puts alot of heat out. Only gave it 4 stars because in shipping the tank had got dented but definitely not bad enough to return or complain. Would recommend this heater for people looking for a quick warmup of buildings or shops!

High quality product, looks like it will last for years. Keeps me warn in an open ended carport while wrenching. I run it on diesel #2 and it works great, a little tuning on the fuel pressure (easy to do and is explained in the instructions) will make it burn just right . If your outside freezing your ass off working on equipment etc. This is Worth every penny! Also warms up cold equipment fast to aid in starting
