Works as expected. Make sure to lock the sets screw tight. If the bar slips off during retraction you can say goodbye to the drill bit if you are drilling a blind hole. If you plan to drill a through hole it isn't a big deal of the bar comes off.

A previous brand would not accept my auger bit. This works great and holds tight extremely well. Be sure to align exactly bit and extension with set screws to prevent wobble.

Part came well packaged and is fairly heavy duty. I bought it for a specific purpose so it has not seen multiple hours of usage yet, but based on what I see, I expect it will meet my needs for the future.

This extension worked perfectly to extend a DeWalt selfeed bit. The set screws stayed tight really well and the fit and finish of the extension was fairly high and it has performed well in several really deep bores being turned by a large drill.

This item wasn't close too what I needed, so I gave it to a friend who does handy man work hoping that he could use it. I found that going to ACE Hardware and asking them about a 6" and 12" extension for my drill worked much easier and not expensive. I suppose the product description accurately described this item but it didn't help me.
