The power and convenience of battery power make it my go-to die grinder in the shop. I have forsaken my pneumatic die grinders and use this one almost exclusively. It would be amazing if dewalt could have fit this into a more compact tool, but I suppose it is a fair tradeoff for the power it delivers. I would highly recommend this die grinder, it gets the job done.

works best with a power stack battery. it is no replacement for air die grinders. but i work out of a service truck and for quick jobs it saves me from starting my gas powered compressor

Read several reviews and made the purchase. Handy tool for woodworking. A valuable tool for the shop. I would recommend using the 5ah batteries. The 2ah batteries don't last long.

I own a lot of dewalt tools and about three that use the 20 volt battery. I'm very glad I bought it; it is a great addition to my shop!

For the welders out there-I have used the corded version plenty. If you are running a burr bit (carbide) you will LOVE this tool. Ditching a cord, having an LED light, and adjustable speed? Holy smokes. Genius. The variable speed is extremely nice when you just have some light touch ups in a tight spot. You don’t have to worry about the bit grabbing and bouncing around all over the place. If you use them you know what I mean. Battery life will last all day on a 5AH for your usual pickups. Plenty of power for a burr bit. I waited and caught this on sale for 99$.I’m not sure I would run a stone cone on this. I don’t think it has power to push one. It might, but first impressions say no. This is kinda a Lamborghini if grinders. Sharp, fast, and beautiful work. But if you need to do some heavy hauling you might want something else.I have a welder friend who also has one. He uses the flapper discs a lot on his honing out cylinders after buttering. He flat out loves the tool and the LED.
