Assembly went smooth until it came time to install the rails on the drawers. As you can see by the photo, the rail provided is clearly NOT the correct piece. Unfortunately, this was a gift and assembly took place after the 30-day return expiration date. The rail to attach to the drawer is missing the holes at the end of rail and the drawer pre-drilled guide holes are unusable because I have to install a WRONG part. After this review is complete, I'm on my way to purchase a cobalt drill bit for drilling steel (est $8). I will use the two existing rail holes plus the newly drilled hole in the positions as close to those in the correct rail picture as I can make them. Oh yeah, I also have to re-drill all of the guide holes, as they are not in the right position for the provided (wrong) part. Lessons Learned: 1) Always put purchases together before the return expiration date. 2) If reviews say there are issues with the assembly, believe it! I will never again buy this brand and will warn others about the issues.Update, July 16th: I did install the rails. The drawers would not close. After 4 months, the useless file cabinet is now just a printer stand. And my files are still in boxes, with more filing piling up. Found a little cabinet shop near by who is going to attempt to install new rails. If that doesn't work, it will go into the trash.

Multi-purpose! 2 drawers for hanging files plus sturdy enough for our laser printer with open storage for reams of paper.Easy to assemble if you’re used to IKEA. Lots of extra parts included just in case. The unit is tall so watch your size. Would buy from this company again to match existing office furniture.

This stand is perfect for my needs. It is sturdy and durable and fairly priced. Their Customer support was outstanding.Cons:It took hours to assemble so make sure you allow for that.The wrong brackets for sliding the drawers in and out were provided. The holes in the bracket did not line up with the mounting holes in the drawer. We tried to improvise but could not get the brackets properly installed for correct alignment.Pros: Amazon gave us contact info for the supplier. They responded right away. The parts had to come from China so it took a few weeks. This supplier kept us frequently informed as to the status and asked for verification that we did get the brackets offering support if needed.

Due to our busy schedules and seeing all the pieces to assemble, we hired our handyman to put it together. We don't know the amount of time it took him, but he returned the filing cabinet to us the same day. He said he used glue to help support the joints so they would be sturdy for a long time. That was his comment.Visually, we love it and its functionality is all we had hoped. Overall, we're quite happy with this purchase.

I was surprised at the quality of this file cabinet especially for the price. It’s quite heavy- 2 drivers brought it to the door; something to consider if you’re planning to put it upstairs and are by yourself. You do need to assemble it, but I actually found it relatively straightforward (despite lots of reviews saying otherwise). I would say I am NOT mechanically inclined, but using the instructions I was able to get through it in about 3 hours. At no point during assembly was I unsure of how to do the step. The pictures matched the pieces perfectly. They also gave at least 2 additional pieces for each assembly component (sometimes 10+), which was much appreciated even though I didn’t end up needing them. This is a great find!

The end product is excellent. The assembly was a complete nightmare. The directions are extremely vague, and there are a a lot of pieces. Directions don’t specify which way pieces go, and we ended up taking pieces apart, and re-assembling them several different times. I don’t think I would do it again, even though the finished product is very nice.

We are pleasantly surprised at the quality of this 2 drawer file cabinet, in lieu of the price! The assembly was not as easy as some items we have put together, but the directions were very complete and we even received extra pieces, which is definitely a first! Laying out all the parts and following each step, the cabinet came together perfectly. It is very sturdy, looks even better than in the photo and is exactly what I was needing. We are very pleased and would certainly recommend this cabinet to a friend.
