The clamps make the extender point on an upright angle making it sick above whatever edge you clamp it to

There are metal tabs to hold it, and they are a bit taller than I would have liked. Otherwise it works as advertised.

Product was as described and is good quality but the hardware was just thrown in and I was missing 6 of the screws in order to assemble this product. Unfortunate.

Adds just the right amount of additional space to a desk. This white ledge clamps on so easy and the install is a breeze, it practically puts itself together. Quality is great and the value for the money is worth it.

I bought this to extend my desk space and actually to put my monitor on top of and it works perfectly! I was worried at first that it wouldn't be secure enough to be stable for a monitor, but it is! It fits my desk perfect and allows me to have the extra space I need!

I do watch the weight on this. It was nice for awhile. But never did really do well with the clamps. It needs something behind the brackets to fill in the space to the wall. I feel it would not fall as much. 🤷🏻♀️. But I thght it would last longer

This came well packaged in a box with corner reinforcements to protect the wood from shipping damage. It was easy to assemble, needing only a phillips head screwdriver for the 14 screws.Notes:1. The shelf comes in two pieces that get butted together and joined with two metal plates and 8 screws total. This is clearly done to reduce the packaging size and I'm not a fan. I'd prefer a one-piece shelf over one that has a seam down the center.2. The metal bits have nice thick and heavy construction- however the desk clamp is the weakest part of this design. As I was tightening the clamps, they started to spread (think prying a U shape open becoming more V shaped) which caused the shelf to angle upward. Really need to get the tightening just right- too loose and it can fall off or the shelf will be droopy, too tight and the shelf is angled upward... Some gusseting of the L brackets would help considerably.3. The hardware works very well for locking the shelf in the deployed position and press two levers and the shelf will fold down. The bracket does hang down nearly 5" from the underside of the shelf, so depending on where it's mounted, it could be a hazard to one's knees or legs (if they sit cross legged).4. The clamp needs just under 2" of lip to attach to the desktop.5. It is a stark, bright white- not off white or cream white. The shelf is plenty sturdy for light duty use, but now that I have it installed and it doesn't sit quite level, has a seam down the middle, and is a brighter white than my desk I think this is not for me.
