Delta Faucet RP3614 Delta® Faucet Repair Kit

This Delta OEM part worked great on our bathroom faucets. The brass hex key provided was not strong enough to loosen the extremely tight set screw holding the handled in place. Thankfully I had a set of metal hex wrenches. The tool provided was extremely useful when adjusting the valve height so the handle would fit snugly to the faucet base. Included directions for the height adjustment could be clearer. Most internet videos didn't explain how or why to adjust the handle height.

Arrived very fast, full repair kit for leaky faucet. Perhaps the o rings were a bit big. Just look at tube video on how to rebuild the whole faucet- easy. And cheaper than buying from Delta.

This part is perfect for my Delta faucet. I tried a "universal" part, but it didn't work. This one works well and is competent in price to the universal parts.

My kitchen faucet had been leaking for quite a long time and I didn't want to call a plumber, so I did my YouTube deep dive and figured out what to get to do the job myself. I think it is important to get genuine delta parts. I would suggest also getting some plumbers grease to make things even more watertight. My faucet is like brand new now.

Over the decades Delta has produced many different single handle faucet models. Thus there are many different repair kits out there and it is confusing to try to figure out what parts you need for your faucet even when you restrict your search to genuine Delta products. As recommended in several other reviews, I went the route of contacting Delta to try to find out exactly what I needed for my 35 year old single handle bath faucets. I did eventually get the information that I needed, but it took quite a bit of time. I thought that it might be helpful to someone else to summarize what I found. This information certainly would have been helpful to me.This RP3614 kit contains the most commonly replaced parts for older Delta single handle faucets, both for kitchen and bath. How old I don't know, but another reviewer says older than 2004. I'll have a little bit more to say about how to tell the difference between old and new bath faucets below. As you probably know, single handle Delta faucets are based on the use of a hollow stainless steel ball with holes that is rotated to cover or uncover two inlet ports from the hot and cold water supply lines. This kit does not contain any of these balls, but it is helpful to discuss the two different balls that are available for the two different single handle faucet designs of this vintage. For faucets that have the crystal ball handle, the correct ball is the RP212. This ball has a shaft that has a diamond cross-section. For faucets that have a lever handle, the correct ball is the RP70. This ball has a shaft with a circular cross-section. These balls are available separately on Amazon. Also available are more comprehensive kits that contain the ball; more about that below.Note that newer Delta single ball faucets operate differently than did the older faucets. (I don't know anything about old/new lever handle faucets.) The older ball handled faucets operate by pushing the ball back and forth to turn the water on and off and by rotating the ball clockwise or counter-clockwise to select cold or hot. The handle on these faucets has a single black arrow pointing to the outside of the handle and it also has smaller blue and red arrows pointing clockwise and counter-clockwise to indicate rotation. The ball on the newer faucets has four large arrows that point from the center of the ball outward; the top and bottom arrows are black, while the left arrow is red and the right arrow is blue. I don't know what repair parts are needed for these newer faucets. This kit contains the packing "gland" that covers the ball and seals it into the faucet body. (Delta calls this the "cam/packing".) There are two separate glands for the two separate handle types. The crystal ball handle gets the RP188 gland, while the lever handle gets the RP61 gland. These can be ordered as separate repair parts on Amazon, but both are included in this kit. This kit includes the inlet port seals and springs for one faucet. These seals and springs are separately available as the RP4993 kit, and this kit is common to both the ball handle and lever handle faucets. This kit also contains two large O-rings that are used in kitchen faucets; I don't know anything more about those. The more comprehensive kit for the older ball-handled faucets is the RP77739; this includes the RP212 ball. There is almost certainly a similar kit for the lever-handled faucets, but I don't know its number. Note that both of these kits contain a spanner wrench; this is used to remove the center adjusting ring from the dome cap that fits over the ball that was part of the original faucets. This ring is no longer used with the RP188 and RP61 glands, and you will simply discard it after removal. This kit is a very good value if it has the parts you need.

Have Delta classic 100wf single handle faucet from 2001 in the utility room. This is their most common design, still produced. Leaked slightly from under the handle and was crusty looking after 23 years so I was about to get a new faucet.Thought I'd try a rebuild first so took it apart, cleaned all the chrome parts with chrome polish and used this kit to reassemble. Per the instructions, I removed and tossed the plastic adjuster ring (not needed with this new design packing). Used a tiny smear of plumbers SILICONE grease on the seals and o rings. This faucet uses the thick O rings supplied in this kit. Absolutely perfect, and after cleaning the chrome, it looks and works like brand new. Saved a few hundred bucks so I'm very pleased.

I have a single handle faucet from 1980's that I've rebuilt several times with these kits. In the past I've tried the lower (a few dollars) kits where they worked but the repair failed within 6-12mo. This time i went with Delta and replaced all the o-rings on the neck, the spring/rubber grommet seats and the top iron board opening upper seal. I wiped down all the parts well, applied silicone grease to the rubber seats and it works well, no leaks, smooth as butter turning. Save yourself having to go back in there with just ok parts and go Delta.

A ten minute DIY job to easily replace a few seals and stop a kitchen faucet leak. Good as new for a fraction of the cost to replace the entire faucet.

Our 2007 model 175 Delta Faucet has been dripping from the faucet outlet for a while now. This kit was pretty easy to install and fixed the drip. The only issue I had was that the included tool was a little too small to get get enough torque to break free the Allen screw that holds the handle on. I had to use a larger L shaped Allen key to remove that screw, but once that was loose it was smooth sailing. There were a few parts in the kit that I did not need, I only used the springs, the small round seals, and the large grey seal with the triangular opening. I also replaced the ball valve. With both parts the faucet is smooth, easy and like brand new.

Bottom line is it worked just as I wanted and the shower faucet is leak free and operates smooth as butter. I would purchase this product again. Long story is I had a shower valve that was a little tight to operate and was leaking a drop every few seconds. It had been like that for 3 years. So after internet research I figured out the parts kit and went in for the fix. The parts kit was perfect. Had all the parts and the tool to tighten the packing nut down. Easy to install. I’ll update if anything changes (IE- a leak). So far after a week it’s working great.

Came with all the parts I needed plus some extra's that I'm guessing were for a different model. Took less than 10 minutes to replace the old parts in my faucet and no more leaks. Was a great fast, easy and cheap fix.
