Item was priced a bit more than I would have like to have paid, but still, well worth it. This luggage is very durable and has several great features (everything listed in the ad). This is not the same PVC material that you see with comparable sized hard luggage at Winners/Marshals or department stores. The quality; inside and out is excellent; something I expect from the Delsey Paris line.

Delsey makes some really decent luggage, it's not Rimowa, or Bric's but it more than gets the job done, and in my opinion, it's absolutely a waste of money to spend so much on a piece of luggage that the airport ground crew will destroy anyway. I use to spend so much money on Rimowa, now it's just the carry-on. Everything else is either Tumi, or Bric's. I'm even thinking about migrating over to Delsey, so all the money I save can go to Michelin stared restaurants. The quality and workman ship is good enough, now let's see how long it'll hold up.

“Never Again” I made my purchase from PORTMANTOS through Amazon. The box arrived damaged with PORTMANTOS tape partially covering a hole. I opened the box and the suitcase was packed upside down which was not a good sign. The suitcase was 1/2 was unzipped and the inside was stuffed with styrofoam wrap, both sides were unzipped suggesting that this was a prior purchase and return. I thought that I was buying a new suitcase not somebody else’s return. I attempted to set up a return through Amazon but there was going to be a $22.33 return fee. Which I don’t believe I should have to pay. If I knew there was going to be a return fee I would have never made this purchase. I never write reviews so Buyer beware of PORTMANTOS.

*update! I also bought the carry-on plus size and it fits/nests inside the trunk size! Yay! I was afraid it would not nest because the trunk is an odd size, but it fits entirely inside and zips up for easy storage.I have been debating if I wanted the traditional medium or the trunk medium and finally decided on the trunk medium. It is bigger than I was expecting which I love. One side is much deeper (like 80%ish) and the other side is shallow (20%ish) both interior sides are full zippered. Also the exterior bag zipper feels super strong, I’ve never seen a double zipper before, what a great idea. I always worry about my bag zipper popping open and my clothes going everywhere but not with this bag! When I put this bag next to my Samsonite large bag it’s about an inch shorter and 3 inches less across but thicker by about 3 inches. So it’s less wide but thicker, a skinnier from the front but fatter from the side rectangle than traditional bags. Overall the quality seems great and I love the unique old school vibe. What sold me on the trunk style is finally being able to use the stands that hotel rooms provide!! I also got the matching backpack which is great. This bag is tall so the nesting feature with the backpack doesn’t leave much handle (see pics), but not a big deal for me. This will be so easy to spot on the luggage carousel.

Using in December. It’s so deep & roomy. I love the trunk style shape of it. I only need this 26” size trunk to travel. I like the narrowness and height of it too. The inside lining is made with beautiful yet sturdy material. Two nice storage bags came with it and they match the coral lining. There is also a hidden pocket for an AirTag. Each inside packing area also zips closed, keeping your cloths and items packed in their place. Once inside flaps are zipped up, each side also has huge, flat pockets with zippers to store more items. Rolls & spins so gently. It’s such a classy, beautiful piece of luggage. I’m thinking I may get a cover to protect it when I’m flying. This trip is a cruise so I’m driving to port. I cannot wait to fill it up and use it 👍

I LOVE the Chatelet 2.0 series from Delsey. I literally have every single piece except the pet carrier, garment bag and crossbody. This was a replacement purchase for my carry-on that was damaged the first time I checked it in 7 years (sob). I’ve had my eye on this luggage for over a year. I even had it in my carts on both Amazon and Delsey’s site. But I just couldn’t pull the trigger. My worries were the color, the single zippers and the sizes. When Amazon had this at a ridiculous price during Prime days I just couldn’t resist. I spoke with a lady at the DWF airport for had the carryon with her. It was very pretty and I asked if it was new. She said she had it for about 6 years. It resists scuffs and easily cleans up after a trip. While it doesn’t expand, its large interior holds a 2 week trip of clothing. I use the carryon and an underseater for a weeks trip and it holds all my makeup, shoes, hair care appliances and clothes. While my daughter says this luggage is only for private jet trips or appearing in Hallmark movies, I think it’s luxury at its best. Thanks Delsey and Amazon.
