BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ORDER. SOME ARE EUROPEAN GENERATORS THAT ARE 220v. The American rated ones are 120v and this one was the correct one for the U.S. espresso maker. My DeLonghi Magnifica ESAM3300 espresso coffee maker was leaking water on the right side. I'd find some pretty large puddles every day that I'd have to clean up. I didn't know what was wrong with it but decided to change the generator. There is a VERY GOOD youtube video that shows you step by step how to replace the generator. When I took it apart I still couldn't find where it was leaking water as there was no calcium buildup anywhere on the right inside of the espresso maker. I changed the generator and a couple o-rings that I had on hand and voila! No more leaking. I cleaned the machine very well and used food grade silicone grease to lubricate the assembly that comes down and then rises up to tamp the freshly ground coffee into pellets. There's also several videos on youtube showing how to care and maintain the espresso maker and it's worth it.

There is a lot of confusion about this part (#7313213931) and the 7313213911 version. Most part listings say the 7313213911 is the correct part for the ESAM3300, and this part is the 220V version. After reading a few of the reviews that said this was indeed a 120V version, I decided to chance the purchase - it's definitely the part for the ESAM3300 (no suffixes). The body states it is 120V. I can't vouch for the 7313213911 version being 120V, but this 7313213931 part definitely is.The only issue I had with it is the two water inlets do not have the required o-rings inside (red arrows in second photo). Once I installed this and assembled the machine, I fired it up - water spewed out of the back of the machine. I discovered that water was leaking from the generator, so I disassembled the machine again. I determined the leak was at the rear inlet port, so I pulled the supply line. In checking the old part, I saw the o-ring inside. Fortunately, I had that size o-ring, so instead of taking one from the old unit, I installed a new o-ring and don't forget to put one in the bottom inlet pipe also; preferably before installation. The #36 o-ring is size you want (red arrow in first photo). It turns out the springs within the plunger of my old generator were worn out or stuck, so it was stuck in the collapsed position. In the second photo, the yellow arrow points to the gap between the plunger and the generator. This should be about 1/4". In the photo of my old one, the gap is less than 1/8" and doesn't move at all. When pressed from the bottom of the plunger, a working unit will collapse about 1/8" and return to the extended position when released. The new unit solved this problemI would have given this five stars if there were instructions or a note inside the box that stated it needed a set of o-rings.

Make sure you order the correct version. This is the one for 110 volt North America. For Some reason this USA seller also sells the 220 volt version.
