Dell has become my go to for monitors. The build quality is always high, the picture is clear and it works well. I have this monitor setup with an Anker USB-C dock hooked up to an M1 MacBook Air. No, it cannot do multiple external monitors, but a single large monitor is what my wife had with her old iMac 27" and this monitor does not disappoint. No, it's not the highest in any spec, but it's a solid choice for standard productivity tasks like documents and some media work like photos and videos. The quality and functionality represents a good value for the money.

As a Mac user, I was looking for a monitor that offers exceptional image quality for photo editing and graphic design tasks without breaking the bank, and the Dell 27 4K UHD USB-C Monitor - S2722QC has been the perfect choice.The 4K resolution is simply stunning, with crisp, clear images and vibrant colors that make everything from photo editing to graphic design feel incredibly accurate. The USB-C connection is super smooth, allowing me to connect directly to my Mac without needing an HDMI adapter. Plus, I can use the second USB-C port to charge my phone or other devices, making it extra convenient. The design of the monitor is sleek and modern, fitting perfectly in my workspace.This monitor is also great for everyday tasks, making it an all-around winner for both work and general use. The only thing I wish for is an app that works on Mac to easily adjust the brightness, but it’s not a big deal—I can still adjust it manually with the buttons on the screen.What really stands out is how you get outstanding quality at such an affordable price. I actually grabbed this during a Black Friday deal, and it was definitely a deal not to be missed. This monitor has completely exceeded my expectations, and I couldn’t be happier with it! This monitor is superb; more than a bargain at the price I paid for it ($243.79, including shipping). The default setting of 75 for brightness is extremely powerful; I turned it down to 50 and it's still quite bright. The resolution is incredibly sharp and colors are true and accurate. The anti-glare coating is very effective. It's hard to find a flaw here, but if I were to mention one, this monitor does NOT support USB-C / Thunderbolt. Your connectivity is limited to HDMI and DisplayPort.

I got this monitor for a 4K security camera setup but decided to first try it out next to a 2019 Viewsonic 4K Pro-Monitor using some 4K Planet Earth III videos. All I can say is that technology has come a far way! The 2024 Dell just blew the ViewSonic 4K away when it came to details, shading and color.The only problem I had with the Dell is that the included stand interface is dangerous!DO NOT just clip the Monitor into it and lift it up as there is a good chance the Monitor will fly out of the clips and hit the ground. I thank another reviewer for mentioning this after his hit the ground.There is up down lever next to where the Monitor Stand clips in and the Lever does not go back to the correct position properly. If you are putting the stand on and it clicks into place you need to lift the lever Up with your finger until it is level with the surrounding plastic (See Pictures). Even then try to tug at the stand and make sure it wont come off before you lift the monitor off of flat surface.The other issue is if you want to remove the stand the same lever cannot be pushed in enough to get the stand out without some amount of force that might break the plastic clips in the monitor.You need to wedge a small screw driver into the hinge section of the lever and gently pull it down just a bit more until the stand pulls out easily. (See Pictures)Lastly if you are getting a VESA mount please note that the space between the screws and the recessed back that holds the plate in is very small. If you have one of those Multi Size VESA stands, it's mounting plate may not fit into the sunken square back plate on the Dell Monitor. (See Picture)Even with everything done correctly the Monitor wobbles on the stand when moved.I just got a VESA wall mount and ditched the stand, the Stand is the only bad part of this system.Once gone the monitor is perfect. Excellent picture with 2 HMDI Inputs and a Display port input.Very small Bezel and the Monitor physically looks very nice and is packaged very well.

One, this is a BEAST of a monitor. It’s huge and honestly, I’m not complaining. Performance wise it performs well with gaming, office work & general viewing.Two, the size of it makes it look like you’re working in a theatre. There is plenty of work room for you to have 4 small windows open at the same time to better work flow for working or going to class at home.Three, graphics wise, it could be better but the picture options compensates well. Again I did buy a monster of a screen already & with the freesync I’m not complaining with the great productivity performance. Additionally the speakers does well enough. I did find that it’s a bit quieter when I’m on teams meetings during the day or generally viewing Netflix/youtube.Fourth, my gaming experience has no complaints. I didn’t find any flicker or delay. My PS4 pro is connected via HDMI 2.1 and damn, it does deliver. The wide screen ratio makes my gaming worlds so much more immersive and I’m spoiled! Yes there is a gaming version of this monitor so I might look into splurging into that as a second monitor & connect a sound bar for that theatre gaming experience.Lastly, I’m extremely pleased of this product. I have to say Dell set the bar well for an entry level monitor for your general use in home or office. As I mentioned, I’m thinking on buying another one for that double monitor action for the best workflow while working at home and the best gaming experience I’ve had so far.Finally, just get one. Yes it has quirks and such, but keep in mind this is just the beginning. Upgrade and research the next monitor for you while enjoying the spoils of what is here.Thank you Dell.

For office applications, this UHD monitor performs well. If value is important to you, you likely won't be disappointed.tl;drWhen the work you do daily requires a full-time commitment to being in front of a screen to do your job, then the characteristics of that screen can have a substantial impact on your productivity, health, etc. Having used a "standard" HD monitor for quite some time at work, I was starting to find it to be too constraining and difficult to work on. I felt it was time for an upgrade to a UHD/4k monitor.After some research, I settled upon this model, as it scored well on use in an office environment (according to rtings.com), it had consistently high reviews, and it was priced attractively here on Amazon. It also included speakers and a versatile stand, which were nice additional perks that I thought could come in handy. I took the plunge and have not been disappointed.This monitor has met or exceeded all of my expectations for office applications. The picture is clear. I have ample ability to control brightness, contrast, etc. And the refresh rate remains at 60Hz as long as the attached device can support it. The stand allows for all the control that I could ask for in positioning the display, but I've since attached it to a desk-mounted monitor arm which I also really like. I should also mention that having 2 input channels has been very convenient, as it has allowed me to use it as a shared display between different computers. In a pinch, I've even used the speakers on a few occasions; they're not very good, but then again I don't expect them to be. Also, I have used it once as a monitor for a video game console, and I was quite pleased with it. Again, the audio was sub-par, but the picture (including refresh rate) was excellent.For the value, I've been really pleased with this monitor so far. Since I use it primarily for office applications, I can definitely recommend it for that. And as a general-purpose display, it seems to perform well and should not disappoint much. But if you want something that will perform optimally for gaming (especially with high refresh rates), then you will probably not be considering this to begin with. Also, if you want something that has great built-in speakers, I recommend using a TV instead.
