These are cute and a great pair of shorts. But "swim shorts" is a bit misleading because while these can be worn over swimsuit bottoms, they can't be worn alone. There is no mesh/swim lining inside like I expected, so basically just a pair of regular shorts. I think the "swim" part of the description refers only to the fabric which is thin and likely to dry quickly.

Great for playing and swimming. A little disappointed that they don’t have a liner (as is my daughter) after all they are swim shorts. My daughter also wishes the pockets were tacked on the inside (which I’ll do myself) she doesn’t like that they come out while she’s swimming. Fit true to size and would recommend

Love these on my daughter! The only strange thing is the cord at the waist band is very long. Other than that, the design is adorable, love the fit and they wash/dry perfectly.
