Adapters are to soft, they crush too much to be effective. They do work but would prefer something harder

Anyone who has a problem with the smell of this item, probably should not be working cars. lol Yea it smells like a new car tire. I kind of like the smell myself. People are different; do ya think? I"m gonna do some jacking with it and see how it lasts. I think with a little common sense I can make this last a really long time. And if it don't. It will probably be because I did something wrong and I will not blame the product. Nor will I take away a star because of something that happened in shipping and has absolutely nothing to do whatsoever with the quality of the product. :)

Was gonna use it for my jack stand, but the structural skirts on my mk4 golf are too long for this "hockey puck", leaving the puck away from the frame as it's not deep enough to touch the car frame. It sucks but i should've researched it more before purchasing, i can only speak for my car so on the mk4 golf it will not fit.But i'm sure the product is sturdy.

With the newer cars, there are few spaces to jack up a car with a floor jack. This is an essential thing for the round plate of the floor jack. There are typically four pinch welds, two on driver side and two on passenger side, where these fit over the weld and lift the chassis. You cannot lift them without these. Simply dangerous and near impossible. These save your chassis near welds from being bent. The best thing for your toolbox. Don't even think of not having this if you have a Subaru or a Kona for example.

More than likely my fault for not reading the specifications, still work just fine, survived use on a 2006 mercury, protected the pinch welds and the puck didn't split on me.

These jack pads did the job. I had no issues with them so far and the rubber seems sturdy. People need to keep in mind they are meant for a max of 2 tons so shop carefully to be sure they meet your needs.

Slot is not deep enough. I had to add about 1 cm of rubber to get desired size.
