This LCHUANG Deck Railing Planter Window Box is perfect for balcony planting. At 24-inches long, they make a nice and beautiful display on my deck rail. The included gardening tools are a nice added touch! The natural Coco Coir insert appears clean and well manufactured. It has a modern look to it and is very strongly made. These are great!

This is a very attractive window/ railing planter box with coconut mulch liner. The set comes with all hardware and. metal angle brackets for hanging. They also included bonus metal gardening hand tools with green plastic handles. The basket/planter is very nice quality with matte black finish and attractive cutout design. I highly recommend buying this planter, buy a few, you are sure to love them.

I have been looking for planters for my deck railings for awhile. I like this one. The quality is good and it looks even better in person. I took one star off because the metal on the sides could be thicker. The liner is nice and it should last for several years (I will only use this seasonally as I live in a climate that has pretty cold winters). I am not sure if anything will fade in the sun as mine is under a shade. Nice product.

This is a great planter that came with everything to hang it on a fence or just about anywhere. It is very solid, the liner is not too thick which I like very much. It even came with gardening tools like 2 types of shovels as well as a fork tool which I didn’t realize. The tools are even pretty nice and standard size for planter gardening. There isn’t much to assemble unless you want to hang it. It’s a great size too and better than anything I have purchased before. It even came super fast too. I can’t wait to use it this spring and summer.

The entire reason I wanted a planter and to make a rising stand for it or legs if you will is to put some of the garden figurines in and bring them up off the ground. This not only helps to make them more visible but also assists in keeping them out of the way of the gardeners when they are trimming the grass and hedges. After getting the planter today - I had to be creative and utilize parts from the planter kit and the planter stand / window mount kit. After tinkering with it, trying different configurations for most of the evening - It is finally complete. I put a large bag of rocks in it that is 0.4 cubic feet they easily weigh around 20 pounds. I think it turned out great and I am pleased with the end result.

It looks really nice on my front porch wood railing. I don’t have plants in it yet, because it’s winter here in the north country but I put some Christmas greens with lights and ribbons in it and it looks wonderful. I will be planting annual flowers in it, come summer. The metal is sturdy as are the brackets you install yourself. It didn’t come with any directions but anyone with even a little bit of DIY experience will be able to figure out how to put the brackets on the back of it. The brackets can be configured for railing tops that are 2”x 4” to 2” x 6” (the standard sizes for lumber). There are little nuts and bolts included for this purpose as well as some screws to more permanently mount it to the deck rail. I did look to see if replacement inserts are easily available and they are, right here on Amazon! I think it was an excellent value and expect to get many years of use from it.

This is a very good looking railing planter! The frame is made of powder coated metal and looks very durable. The coconut husk liner also looks very strong for planting. The length of the planter is very good at 24 inches on top, but I was just a little disappointed with the top width of 7 inches. One of the long sides is less slanted (almost flat) compared to the other so that it can be secured to the railing and it is also equipped with holes to screw in the included brackets. However, the planter is very stable and can easily be placed on the porch or deck and does not have to be hanging on the railing. The best part is that it also comes with a very nice set of gardening tools. Of course, it also comes with a bunch of hardware options for securing the planter to the railing or wall.

So take this review with a grain of salt...I missed the growing season entirely, so I did not account for the weight of actual dirt or plant mass.On the positive side, they do include several "free gifts" with the purchase of this planter box, they include a variety of hardware and the brackets provided can be configured in several different ways (see pictures). I do also really like the aesthetic of the beige mesh screen they included. However, judging strictly from what came out of the box, I'm a bit unimpressed. Metal seems very light and cheap, the included screws seems to be of poor quality and easily unscrew under stress, and regardless of the configuration of the included brackets, I cannot hang this basket level with the balcony railing. It seems to want to tip forward, putting all of the weight on a very small section of the brackets. This, of course, is no big deal if you have your own tools and purchase your own hardware to reinforce the brackets, but that's extra cost.I suspect that if you put a minimum amount of dirt and are only interested in growing small flowers or herbs, this might be fine. Growing anything larger, like a vegetable or fruit might exceed what I suspect is a very low weight tolerance. Of course, if you modify the brackets and use your own hardware, you might get more mileage out of this thing.I would also like to point out that buying the bulk package option of 5 planters, seems to include 5 sets of the free gifts... which seems wasteful.Overall, I give this planter a rating of 'meh'.
