Excellent product. I had a terrible time brushing my dog’s teeth. Ended up with a $3000 dental bill for her. The vet recommended this product and I purchased it. A year later no sign of any tooth damage. Definitely use this every day

Neither of my cats would drink. I started at a half dose, then diluted that mixture again to quarter dose. When I gave in, they were so thirsty. I felt awful.

Unless you only have one or two small animals, the liquid version of this isn't cost-effective enough for me. I will say that the full instructions for the SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper powder were a bit accessibility prohibitive for me, so I found a way to make it a lot easier!I love both forms of the product themselves. My pets have had no problem with drinking this additive, even my pickiest cat. I did start at half dosage and titrate upwards as I always do for dental additives, liquid electrolytes, etc. There's no smell at all and I suspect extremely little taste, but I also use pretty large dishes or refillable reservoirs... If you go full dosage in a small dish, it's more likely that your pickier pets might have a problem with the sudden change even if it's only slight. Start at half so that if they detect a subtle taste, it's gradual and not suspicious to their instincts. If you suspect your pet may be picky about this, don't let them see you prepare/dose the water! My powder hack is below!Rather than boiling the entire water bowl amounts since I do have larger dogs/bowls and sometimes use reservoirs... I keep the cup capacity and powder dosage on the bottom of each bowl. I add the powder to the empty bowl. I then add a kettle of hot water to the powder, stirring or shaking until it's dissolved into a sort of concentrate. Then I fill up the rest from the faucet, stirring again. This also lets me put the now lukewarm water down quickly. I do first let them settle and check that everything is dissolved, but I also use filters that are compatible with this additive which would catch clumps.Powder hack notes:I've seen Vetradent confirm that the fully mixed powder water can be stored after mixing -- I personally would choose to boil *all* of the water before mixing if it was going to sit stored any longer than my pets will drink it. If you want to store a *concentrate,* just buy Vetradent liquid additive for stability and safety reasons. I only make the "hot water concentrate" during the immediate water refill process!

I added this to my 1 gallon gravity waterer for my two kitties because it’s been proven to reduce tartar and even though they’re only 2, I’m a vet tech and I know how important dental health is early on.However, I first noticed it started causing mold spots to grow in the bowl by the time the gallon was almost gone. Gross, but not really that big of a deal. I just cleaned and refilled. However, after the first gallon, my kitties decided they were sick of this stuff. They stopped drinking from their water bowl altogether and started drinking from the plants, the toilet, dishes in the sink, etc. So I think, in theory, this would be a great product if it tasted better for the kiddos!

After taking my dog to the vet for a teeth cleaning, this product was recommended and I couldn’t be happier. Over all this has not only helped with the build up on his teeth but his breath smells so much better. We never go a day without using this ever since. Easy to mix, I usually buy a gallon of water and mix it in so we have a gallon pre made at a time. Very easy to use and I highly recommend it!

After my eldest cat (who came to us with severe dental disease) had to have all but one of his teeth removed, I was determined to find a solution so that no one else would have to go through that. I started supplementing their water with this right after adopting our third cat who also came to us with severe dental disease. I’ve been using this product for two years now and can confidently say that it works! Since starting to supplement their water, my three senior cats have not had to have a single tooth extraction, which has not been the case in the past.I recommend this to every cat parent I know because I know how much money can be saved and how much pain you can prevent just by adding something to their water. We had spent thousands in the past on tooth extractions. This was the only thing we did differently so I know it’s the reason why their teeth are so much healthier now. I’m so glad we know about this product and will use it for however long I have cats (for the rest of my life).Pros:It worksMy cats will drink itIt can be used in water fountains with filtersIt’s safe for my cats and doesn’t cause stomach upsetA little goes a long wayIt comes with a measuring capCons:The only con is that sometimes the smell is a little strong when opening a new bottle, however it doesn’t seem to bother my cats at all and the smell goes away pretty quickly.

My kitten had to have the majority of his front teeth removed due to stomatitis. My goal in purchasing this product was to help him keep the rest of his teeth. He's been using it for about 6 months and his breath has really improved. He doesn't let me see his teeth so I don't know for sure if it's working. He seems to really like the taste. He's first in line to get some water when I change it out. I did have to move from a water fountain to a bowl to use this. This came recommended from my vet.
