Have used it for chamfering the ends of 1/2" all-thread rods after cutting the to length.Bounces around a bit but then smooths out to a nice finish.Haven't used it a great lot so I can't yet speak to how long the blades will stay sharp.

INVICTOOLS Deburring External Chamfer Tool with Carbide Blades – Deburring Tool for Metal, Wood and PVC - Chamfer Bit with Hex Shank - Bolt Deburring Bit - Fits 1/8" to 3/4" (3mm - 19mm)I have thousands of spare nuts and bolts in my garage. Even though I have so many, I frequently end up with one that fits, but is too long and I have to cut it off. I’ve been taking time to file off the ends to smooth them out and put a chamfered end on them so the nut will go on properly. I happened across this tool and I’m very happy I found it. It makes cleaning up the ends of bolts so much easier and faster. They also come out with a smoother, more uniform end to the bolt. $21.00 might seem like a high price for a small tool like this, but it’s absolutely worth it. I haven’t had any necessity to try it on wood or PVC yet, but I imagine it will work just as well as it does on a bolt. Glad I ordered it.

I like that this tool is compact and easy to store. When I have to de-burr a cut off bolt i usually use a stationary grinder. I found i was able to use this tool by placing the bolt in a vise and then using a hand drill to use the chamfer. It takes some trial-and-error to use this tool since it can "catch" on the bolt. Having more carbide cutting ridges should make it easer to guide the tool and achieve a better result.

Time Saver – well designed heavy duty chamfer tool for rodsI wore out this same type of tool made only of High Speed Steel. Metal cutting drill bits are made of High Speed Steel so the tool I wore out was a well designed tool being made of High Speed Steel. However, this tool is far superior with the cutting inserts made of Carbide so I suspect I will not wear out this Carbide tool for a really long time. I use my smallest cordless drill at a very slow RPM and this tool works really fast making the perfect beveled edge on on round stock.I make a lot of stuff with All Thread rod and I cut that rod to length using a Hack Saw which ruins the threads. My usual trick is to leave a nut down on the part of the All Thread rod I want to use. Then I unscrew that nut and use it as a die to “re-thread” the cut end. Sometimes that works okay but the best way to fix the end of the hacked off All Thread rod is to chamfer the end with a nice uniform bevel to make is easy to start the nut. I also make a lot of axles out of solid rod and use this too to de-burr the ends after cutting to length.

*** See the bottom of this review for my star rating scale explanation ***The Verdict:RECOMMENDThe GOOD:- Compact- Seems to be well made- Durable so farThe BAD:- A little priceyChanges to get 5-stars:- Possibly make it so no bur is left behindBottom Line:It's a bit expensive for what it is, but it did work well. There were no signs of damage after initial use and it worked very quickly. If you don't mind the price I say go for it.Details:I've seen these all over the place and they seem too good to be true. For the price I was expecting it to work well. I had some rebar laying around on my workbench so I cut off a chunk to get a sharp and square edge. It didn't take long in my 18V hand drill to clean the edge right up and give a nice chamfer to it. Looking at the blades I can't see any visible signs of damage, so that is a good sign. I'll have to cut a bolt and see how well it leaves behind a clean edge to thread. The only negative, which is a bit picky, is that it did leave behind a small bur at the base of the chamfer. It wasn't much of one and it came off easily. It seems like this thing works well. Is it worth the current price of ~$22? That is for you to decide.************************************************My Rating Scale:5 STARS - Item worked better than advertised and exceeded my expectations. The item provided more value than I anticipated and is a great deal. The item seems very well made and should last for a long time.
