Gave one filter to my son and kept one for myself. DeWalt battery powered filter is great but as a gift this encourages annual filter replacement which prompts the owner to open up this great vacuum, empty it of its accumulated contents & easily replace filter element. Which restores the vacuum to function properly and happily. As we know, maintenance matters.

These work every bit as good as the brand name filters that cost allot more. They fit snugly just as well too. And, they also can be repeatedly cleaned by an air or garden hose of modest pressures, just like the name brand. Beside being far less expensive than the name brand filters, I don't regret having to throw these away when their lifespan is up. Because the name brand filters are so expensive, I over use and over clean them to the point the suction of my vacuum is greatly diminished because replacing an old filter is so costly. It almost feels like cheating by not buying factory filters. But then, who is cheating who.Bottom line, my little handy dandy shop vac is more cost efficient and has better suction, when I can actually afford to change the filters more often.
