I find this circuit breaker to be a much better choice than a regular (small rail fixing) dc circuit breaker. Strong construction and, most importantly for me, a very large disconnect distance.

I have 2 of these 200amp units on my solar system. I touched 205 amps for a few seconds once, did not flip. Not sure exactly what amperage and for how long to get it to flip. I did run one breaker between 160 and 190amp for about 1/2 hour. Contacts got a little warm, but nothing to concern myself with. Unit did not heat up.The lug size is a lttle smaller than i would like. I had to grind down my 2/0 lugs a1/16" to make it fit. Sturdiness in excellent.

Semble solide, pour le moment, seul 60 A DC ont circulés dedans, mais je n'ai relevé aucun échauffement. Les bornes sont très robustes. Un peu dur à armer (mais nécessaire pour garantir le pouvoir de coupure)

This is a beautiful - BeAUtIFul beast of a DC breaker. I don't have the 250+++ DC amps to test capacity of this breaker (don't usually test my breaker capacity anyway) - did (and do) test short circuit, and she breaks on short.Don't let the photo fool ya - this is not light switch size. It's a beast. 6.5 inches long x 3" wide x 3.5++ depth. Will work as stand alone AC switch also (not an AC breaker).7 Super Novas for The Heschen DC Molded Case Circuit Breaker

This review is for the Heschen MCCB, HSM1PV-250, 2 Poles, DC550V 250A circuit breaker. If you haven’t held one of these breakers, take a minute and read the dimensions. They are huge!I tried to test the fit of some 2/0 terminal lugs that I had handy. The tinned lug on the left is a 2/0 – 5/16” Selterm lug. It is a UL listed lug. Selterm lugs that is easily the best lugs I’ve used. On the right is a bare copper generic lug I got here on Amazon. It is a good quality 2/0 – 3/8” lug. Both fit fine. As you can see in the photo, the Selterm lug was a tight fit!My critique of this breaker is that the action of the switch is kind of muddy and super stiff. I have a few of these breakers and I think this one is my least favorite in terms of how the switch feels. It seems like it is fine otherwise. When I start pushing lots of current through it, I’ll check it out on a thermal camera to make sure it can handle it.
