Fit and works great on my FR691V.Upgraded to a starter with the nose cone that supports the end of the shaft.Has the solenoid on it so a little basic rewire was needed.New battery cable and one wire rerouted.Spins fast. Huge improvement.Time will tell, but this was highly recommended by people in the Kawasaki group.

I have never had issues with this starter in the past, this time I bought this starter for another one of mowers, and I bought and received it on July 3rd and last week it started acting up and mower will not start I did all of my trouble shooting thinking it was something else and all was working will all connectors tight I hit the top of the starter lightly with a hammer while turning the key and the mower started right up so I go a faulty starter now trying to see if I can get a new one because I trust this brand of starters. but just thought I would say something hopefully the next one will work as well as the others that I bought.

It when in and it worked the first time. You have to love it when it all fixes. I would buy again. Longevity who knows. The OEM one lasted six years. Mower has just about 240 hrs on it.

My Wright Stander with a fr691v Kawasaki engine wouldn’t start. I figured out that the solenoid was the culprit so I priced out a replacement. It turns out that for just a little more money i could get this new starter with a new solenoid attached. I figured what the heck and bought it. Took me about half an hour to replace it with my big banana hands and with the location of the starter. First turn of the key and it fired right up! And I kept the old starter as a backup just in case something happens with this one. Definitely a great buy.***i bought this from Amazon warehouse in like new condition. The original box was beat up but the starter looked 100% new and I saved about $35 off the new price.
