Use these gages with an outside micrometer to measure inside bore diameters. Gage surface is fully hardened to ensure long tool life. this NEEDS to be a precise tool. the quality we get from vendors overseas is not enough for this to actually work.none of these will work.sadly, I'm not spending for a US made item. even the modern ones still need some manual touch-up to make them move smoothly.wish someone would make one that works and is worth owning and does not cost $100+

This tool is perfect for checking inside valve guide diameter paired with a micrometer, highly recommend, as you turn the back it will click when it hits the wall of what you are checking and is easy to use.
