This mesh really keeps seed and feathers in the cage. We have two Budgies and it is really keeping the floor clean. We can just open up the mesh at the top and use our hand vacuum to collect the the excess seed and feathers. The green colored one looks very nice and natural on the cage. Very pleased with this item!

It looks nice. It keeps the majority of seeds and feathers in the cage but not all. Not sure what my birds do to get the seeds up and over the black mesh, which is much higher than the seed silo. They must do budgie acrobatics at night.
