I have to replace these every 10 years or so (since 1970) due to deterioration. Couldn't find one locally so ordered from Amazon. This one came in an envelope in a blister pack that was crushed and the ball appeared to be 'slightly' deformed. I had to toss the old one because it was disintegrating and install this one anyway (assuming it's rubber and would return to original shape), but it will NOT seal properly. Removed and soaked in HOT water and it stayed deformed. Everything clean and smooth..... It just refuses to seal. Fill valve opens every 15 mins for 5 seconds to recover. Very annoying as you can hear the water running throughout the house. Worse than the deteriorated one that I removed which lost seal over 20 mins. If yours arrives even the slightest bit deformed .... SEND IT BACK !!!

Hi,The ball for the Eljer style toilet arrived as expected. installation was a bitlonger given the screw holding the old one was rusted out and required moveeffort to remove.The new ball fit in place easily. Once, the drain was cleaned of debris,the ball worked worked as expected.Would I buy a new one? Yes

My bathroom fixtures are over 50 years old, finding parts that work is very important. Big box stores are no longer a help. No I am not changing a toilet because of a $2.00 part.Thank you

After messing around with buying things at Home Depot, my son said "get this from Amazon; it's what you need". And it was! Our toilet is older, parts are sometimes hard to find. This was perfect.

Seems to be getting harder and harder to find these bulbs for the older toilets. I seem to replace it about once a year and every year the price goes up and up. Works great, easy to replace, but pricy for what you are getting.
