Seriously great value. This is my fifth crawler and easily the best bang for its buck. It’s very light, though, so adding weight is a good idea (portal axle covers and brass components go a long way). Also, you may want to go with a higher kg servo in the rear to make sure it steers straight. It’s not the quickest crawler, but, I mean, it’s a crawler with a single gear speed and if you steer with all four wheels at high speed, well, you can flip it. Adding a light kit is fun for night crawling adventures. But again, excellent value if you want to get into RC cars and crawling. And it’s a ton of fun upgrading parts.Oh, and get yourself a real, full size LiPo, 2S battery. The one it comes with is kinda silly, though it does work well to give you a taste of its potential.

I recently got back into RC cars after several years. I have always loved crawlers but the price used to be out of my range. Imagine my shock to see this RTR for such a reasonable price. I worked some OT and ordered this straight away. I am blown away. The remote works great and is super easy to setup and run. It is well laid out and very responsive to the slightest touch (can be a bad thing if you're not careful). The vehicle is an incredible performer. It will crawl like a car 5 times the cost. It has amazing features and can be used from everything to casual driving to intense rock scaling. It has a huge assortment of mods that can be done if you wish, or run it straight out of the box and keep it stock. It has good power and torque and can really climb beyond the physical limits of it's design. The only issue I see is the tendency to be a bit top heavy, and the mini Tamiya connector (adapters are available and pretty cheap). The Li Io battery lasts about 45 mins. of hard running. Tires are good for my terrain (smooth rock, gravel, dirt, wood) but could be a little softer and grippier. I have ordered some different tires to play around with. All in all this is way too much fun and can handle 45 deg smooth wood inclines. It is easy enough to run for beginners, but has enough features and is up-gradable for advanced drivers. I would not hesitate to get any of the other offering from Redcat (I actually also purchased the Ridge Rock at the same time)

Great RC crawler. I have 4 rc vehicles. 2 nitro and now 2 lipo. First crawler I've bought and it's great. Redcat puts out some great rcs at a reasonable price. This thing is a lot of fun.
Really good crawler for the price

This crawler was really good for how much I payed, I will say it is a little underpowered but still does better than high end crawlers.

This is a true large 1/10 scale rc rock crawler. Not like other brands that claim to be 1/10 scale and are nor. This Crawler has great traction, and tons of options as far as steering all straight out of the box. I posted photos of the different steering options that are controlled all by the remote! It even has a dig function that works well and portal axles!! I am upgrading both steering servos to Redcat racing 25 kg "who makes this Rock Crawler" just because I want more steering power. The factory servos are just fine for most people. Also upgrading the steering linkage to aluminum as well, all because at times I noticed the rear steer will turn slightly when crawling harder obstacles when you have front steer on only. There is also an extra 3 plug spot on the ESC to plug in maybe some lights which I plan to do as well as metal front and rear bumpers. This is not an expensive Axial or Traxxas however it provides features that they don't out of the box for far far cheaper. I run mine I 2s lipo for long crawling times. I may upgrade the motors but I'm not sure they need it. You should not be disappointed with this more scale looking RC Crawler.
