If you're painting or doing other messy things involving your fingertips, and don't want to wear protective gloves, OR if you need finger daubers for the purpose intended (as daubers), AND if you believe in recycling as much as possible, these daubers are for you. They come with replacement tips so that you don't need to throw away the entire finger covering.

Labels did not stick! I had to tape or glue on!

These are really small. Most fingers will not fit inside the finger hole.

These are the newest in crafting tools. They are great for kids to paint with more control. It is also great to use with inks. You have good blending control. This is a good value because you get both the daubers and replacements. This set will last a long time.

When ordering this set of finger sponge daubers, I wasn't sure if they would work well for my intended purpose, but I figured it was worth a try. I enjoy doing Zentangle art on small paper tiles, and one technique I've been wanting to try is to pre-color a background and then draw a tangle over it with a black micron pen. Someone suggested I try using Ranger Distress Inks to prepare my background, so I bought some but hadn't yet bought a tool to apply the inks to the paper. In the seller's listing, they noted that these daubers could be used to apply inks, so I decided to give it a go. This set includes a generous quantity of 24 finger daubers plus a bunch of refill sponges that can be easily swapped out. I think it's a great set for a parent to buy for a child to create art along with her or his siblings or friends. In my case, I'm going to designate one dauber for each color of Distress Inks (I have 12 colors) and I'll still have plenty of daubers left over for when I try using them with a different medium. Each dauber's circular sponge has a diameter of 1/2 inch. I found that the daubers fit well on both my index and middle fingers. Being as the ink that I was using was not super wet and juicy, I found that I was not able to spread the color across the tile. Instead, the only way I could create art was by making overlapping circles. I was able to make things more interesting by varying the amount of pressure I used to press down on my paper; needless to say, more pressure produced darker or more intensely colored circles. My finished prepped tile reminds me of a bokeh pattern. I would imagine that the dauber could be used to produce streaks of color across the paper, or to color in areas of a larger sized line drawing if a wetter medium like paint was used, but I'm happy with the way my creation turned out. It was a fast, easy, and fun little project to do!
