I couldn't figure out how to take off the rubber part to wash it butyou just pull harder than you expect. It's super cute and compact. Fits well in my case and holds reeds flat with good ventilation.

I have a fancier case for my other (wood) clarinet but needed a reed case for my plastic clarinet...those cases are usually compact and don't allow for much room for accessories. This case is perfect because of it's low profile and so it fits nicely in the (plastic clarinet) case.I chose the bright red so it will be a contrast against the black inside of the clarinet case.It holds the reeds snugly, and like that it allows for good airflow so that they dry flat.

Es muy práctico. Lo utilizo para guardar 4 cañas de clarinete sib, aunque para otros tamaños de cañas de clarinete y saxofon tambien sirve. Cada hueco viene numerado. Al tener la base con ranuras las cañas se secan bien y no se deforman. La parte de color es de un plástico tipo goma que las sujeta contra la base y se adapta al grosor.Además no ocupa nada, asi que es perfecto para tenerlo en el bolsillo o en el estuche.

One of the reviews says this works for tenor saxophone reeds. I would disagree with that. They do fit in it but they hang out which isn't how it's meant to be used.It's a good product, but is meant for a clarinet or alto/soprano saxophone.

I liked the design. It allows the stored reeds to “air dry” properly by having the grooves molded into the plastic that the reeds rest on.

I'm a professional player and this is the reed guard I've always wanted. It is secure for all shapes of reed and it has grooves on both the top and the bottom to allow EVEN drying and humidity control. I keep my reeds in an airtight container with humidity packs and this case is ideal for that storage situation. I'll be getting many more soon!
