We purchased this bow for my son and unfortunately it broke shortly after we got it. I went to return it and it was one day past the return window. I reached out to the vendor and they were super polite and sent me a replacement right away. The new bow is wonderful and my son uses it every day with no issues.

While my first impression was not a good one, the seller was very responsive and resolved all of my issues. This in itself is encouraging for future buyers. :-)

Very nice and sturdy. Amazing deal for the price. Have only played with it a few times, but so far I love it! Nice details/inlays.

Just used it for the first time for my rehearsal and it's holding up pretty good. It's a really light bow weighing just over 5 ounces made out of wood. The overall length of the bow is 30 inches and 22 inches of bow hair. Balancing point is about 26.5 cm from the end of the endpin/tightening screw. This is my first german bow and I am pretty impressed with it. Originally I was looking for a heavier and longer bow since the french bow that came with my bass was ridiculously light (just a shy heavier than a wooden cello bow) and short and practically a veteran since it kept slipping and flying out of my hand (I'm used to heavier bows), so I decided to buy this german bow. This bow is just about the same weight only about 0.1oz heavier (still pretty light, negligible) but it's a keeper.I'd also like to note that the bow I received did not look like the picture, it was a darker shade of brown wood, leather thumbgrip was the typical kind you would find and not as textured as shown in the pic, did not have the metal ring (washer?) right next to the end screw, and the pearl slide actually ran through the entire frog and not just the simple rectangular pearl slide (see provided picture, bow on the left), and a "DZ Strad" engraved onto the wood under the frog.I've had this bow for a little bit, dropped once in my bedroom but still holds. Hopefully I remember to write an update in the future(Edit 7/29/2017)I don't get to use this bow as often as I do since I mainly use the french style, but it has held up reasonably well for the price. Would like to replace the hairs sometime soon because I broke maybe several or a dozen strands of hair already. Good for the price and perfect for someone who's learning the german style or plays german style every once in a while.

Very good bow for the money, more than adequate for a "student" - level player like myself. My bass teacher really liked it as well.

I bought the Double Base Bow as a back-up for my son who is studying the instrument at Ball State University. His primary Bow needed to be repaired. The Bow was as exactly advertised and my son was very impressed with it's performance.
