Fine craftsmanship

We spent much efforts to make bow screw adjustment smooth also ensure stabilize frog. Please kindly note that it may still not so easy to tighten bow screw as the stick of bass bow is much thicker and stronger than violin bow. You may find there is a very small gap (about 1mm) between stick and screw. That’s our tips to reduce the friction between bow screw and stick end to make screw adjustment easier.

This kind of medium-strong to strong Pernambuco only can be selected from 200pcs. Bass bow sticks cost more than violin bows for its thicker stick.

Premium horsehair

We use unbleached Mongolian horsehair. Great resilience, easier to rosin. We select better horsehair for our bows instead of excessive normal-quality.

As all VINGOBOWs are fully made by hand with knives and other sharp metal tools, every bow may have slightly differences in weight, length, in addition to possible small trail or slightly scratches on bow stick or frog even made by old experienced maker. The hair is surely real horsehair, it may break off one or several pieces during rosin or playing.
