No coding or programming is needed. Selectable mixed mode allow the differential drive motors to be controlled from a throttle (forward-reverse) and a steering channel. Onboard switching regulator which produces 5V output is also available to power the RC receiver. This eliminates the need of extra battery eliminator circuit (BEC).

Got this board to drive two 120w 24v wheelchair motors. It has worked great. I used a T8S transmitter with the R8EF receiver. Nice optional feature is the mix mode switch. It essentially would let you command this driver using a pistol grip transmitter vs having to control each motor independently(tank style) or mix via transmitter programming. Or you can command them independently if preferred. Solder joints look good, no obvious defects or messy placement. Overall solid product.

I am building a robot lawn mower and needed a dual motor controller with mixing to control the two drive motors and this controller filled the bill.I have used both Sabertooth and RoboClaw dual motor controllers, but thought that I would give Cytron a try as they are about half the price of either the equivalent Sabertooth or RoboClaw dual motor controllers that I needed for the mower. The robot lawn mower RPi 4B provides steering and throttle PWM signals to the Cytron which does the mixing for the differential steering mower. Works great.
