Black anodized aluminum gives a nice look on the bicycle.

Used these to replace a set of wheels on a cheap Roadmaster mountain bike to replace the original wheels that had several snapped spokes. They were true and survived two weeks of use in the desert.

The bicycle, which you are looking at is a 32 year old bike. It is one of the specialized hard rock from back then. It is almost completely refurbished. At this point it is a joy to ride it as well as I like to drive my 1998 Z28. The rims from this vendor provided the final thing I needed to have done.

I installed these on a mountain bike for 26 x 1.95 tires. As others have said, the axle nuts were a bit too tight but just barely. I loosened the nuts to check the bearings and there was plenty of grease so I didn't add any. My biggest concern about receiving them via USPS was how true they were going to be. They were so close to true that I'm going to ride on them awhile and then check again later. They were shipped in a pretty thick cardboard box which helped. The sidewalls are double walls which should take a lot more abuse than the original single walls I had on the bike. The only thing I'd suggest to the manufacturer is to enlarge the valve hole about .4 mm. I run Sunlite thorn protection tubes because of the large number of goat head plants we have here in SE Washington, and it's a chore to get the slightly thicker stems through the rim. It's not bad enough that I have to drill them, but having a stem sit that tight is a small concern. They look to be a great product for the price.

Very nice light wheels for a mid-range price. The spokes are adjusted properly right out of the box. Just put on a set of tires and go for a ride. They really make the bike look sharp too.

Pros:+ Low cost+ Very true, with uniform spoke tension+ All blackCons:- Bearing cone torque too tight- Bearings are not packed in grease (they come coated lightly with possibly Vaseline)- Axle is not quick releaseThese wheels appear to be made for a department store-style bike costing less than $250. However, since the rims are double-wall aluminum, they are good enough for my 1991 Cannondale mountain bike. Before installing, the bearing cones will need to be removed so the bearings can be packed properly with grease and torqued correctly so the axle can spin freely. It seems the hubs and axles are all steel, so beware of them rusting if you tend to ride through wet weather often. Otherwise, if you're not a bike racer, these wheels are great for general use.

I bought these to replace some ancient, super rusty wheels on an old bike. Like others have said, the axles were too tight and did not spin freely right out of the box. I cleaned out the original brown lube and put in some fresh synthetic grease, before tightening the nuts just enough to take out the slop. Now the wheels spin freely without any jerkiness or noise. They look great on the bike and make it ride like a dream.
