We have had a number of car seats over a 11 year period nuna, maxicosi, chicco and decided to go with this one for our new addition. This carseat is horrible and we have tried to install in two different SUVs.It does not stay in place and the leg is never secure. It never clicks properly and is a hell of a try to take it off.The canopy cloth and canopy are ripped off and broken within a week of being used as if children were trying to destroy it.The inner cloth never stays put either and it keeps sliding off and away.The worst quality carseat ever.

If you've ever struggled to get a car seat installed tightly enough then you'll appreciate the design of the belt tensioner that makes it nearly effortless. The ability to remove the car seat (sold separately) from this base and then use it as a carrier is a nice feature, too.

I was being cheap because I got the Anton 2 for my last baby (no more after this one) and didn't want to spend another $80 on the base. But the Amazon open box was so affordable. It arrived within 2 days and was virtually brand new. Very happy.

The base itself is as expected. We got this car seat due to this base and the load leg feature. We purchased it in May 2018 and it has an expiration date of about Feb 2022 since it was manufactured in 2016. This was disappointing that it was over 2 years old (still new). I asked about exchanging if they had more recently manufactured bases and instead was refunded 40% of what I paid (based on the portion of the "life" that is unusable). This is our extra base so we felt that was a fair refund.

We bought two of these bases and have one in our SUV and one in my parents' SUV so we went all in on the Cybex Anton 2 car seat. It worked great and was very snug for the first 4-5 months, but we noticed a problem as our son started getting a little taller. The problem is that these car seats sit more upright than regular car seats so when your child gets taller it causes his head to jerk forward when the car accelerates and the problem is more noticeable when your child is sleeping. Riding in the back with him, I would have to place my hand over his head to keep this from happening. I'm a defense attorney and handle plenty of car accident cases to know that if, God forbid, we were in an accident this could cause some serious whiplash to an infant's neck. Additionally, even on routine car rides this might cause injury and could also be an asphyxiation hazard if the child falls asleep with his head slumped forward and there isn't someone in the backseat to push his head back.I'm not sure if this issue is caused by sloped backseats in most modern SUVs, but I have always checked the level gauge to ensure that the base is "correctly" positioned, which demonstrates to me that this is how the base and car seat was meant to be installed.We borrowed a family member's car seat when we were traveling and noticed that child is seated in a more reclined position than in the Cybex Anton. Not only did this make the ride more comfortable for the baby, but it also eliminated the issue of his head being jerked forward every time the car accelerated. This leads me to believe that the issue with the Cybex Anton is more design-related than anything else. Please let me know if anyone else has experienced the same issue, thanks.

Awesome car seat base. Easy to install. lots of great safety features. Fits in rear facing in the back of porsche 991 911 with a 5 foot 4 inch passenger comfortably in the from seat.

Used this car seat with my first child and loved it. It was much lighter than other car seats I lifted and I even had friends comment on how this one looked so comfortable. An additional base is a must have with two vehicles.
