Your cart is empty.The Cyalume Snap Light is an industrial grade chemical light stick providing instant 360 degree illumination, that can be seen up to a mile away in optimal conditions. The Snap Light is waterproof, buoyant, non-toxic, and non-flammable. To activate the light stick, bend, snap and shake the tube. The light stick has a hook and hole top, for hanging or attaching the light. Each light stick is individually foil-wrapped for protection from light and moisture, and has up to a five-year shelf life from date of manufacture. The durable, waterproof, external body of the light stick is made from low density polyethylene (LDPE), and is phthalate free for safety. The internal illuminating chemical substance is non-toxic and non-flammable. Light sticks are chemiluminescent substances in plastic tubes that provide hours of illumination in a number of safety, industrial, and military applications. Cyalume light sticks do not produce heat and are non-sparking, which makes them useful in hazardous situations where sparks or flame could cause an explosion. They are Cyalume glow sticks. I am confident they will work fine when I will need them (that is a reputable brand of glow sticks I've used for over 20 years in the Armed Forces.)My concern is about the stated "shelf life". The description states: "GUARANTEED 5 YEAR SHELF LIFE AND INDIVIDUAL FOIL WRAPPING means SnapLight can be safely stored for years until the need arises without harm to the stick or components."Today (Feb 22 2024), I've received my GlowSticks and though there is no manufacturing date, the printed expiry date is 12/27. This means I got a batch of GlowSticks which is already 1.5 years into their 5 years shelf life. Disappointing.

These are great! They were put out 14+ hours ago for Halloween, and brought in a few hours later. When I got up this morning they were still glowing on the counter. I put then in my husband's chair as a joke. I'll definitely repurchase this brand!

The bottom line is that they worked and they were bright. However, after about an hour the brightness reduced significantly. They continued to glow for a while afterwards and there was still a dim light the next morning, but ultimately I wished they’d stay bright for longer than an hour.

As the title says these glowsticks are awesome! I picked these up to pack with my 72hr. kits and "go" bag in my vehicle. I like the color and they last a long time. The next order I make will most likely be yellow or green in color. But for the price and the content and quality you get you can't go wrong.

This product shines for a lot longer than stated (brightly for 6 hours or so) but in conplete darkness you can still see it 18+ hours after. Great for emergency/outdoor use!

These are some of the best light sticks you'll find on the market. I've used hundreds of various colors from Cyalume, and have not not experienced a bad stick. The orange is right in the middle for life span and brightness.

These things are phenomenal!!! I used them for a costume for a haunted attraction and these things would sometimes last well beyond the 12 hour mark! 4 of them actually lasted nearly 24 hours after breaking.

I used these on my long line commercial fishing gear and sunk them to 900+ ft. They withstood the pressure and lasted longer than the said 12 hours! Will buy again!
