This really is one of the best made lens cases I've ever seen. Better than the OEM cases that come with some more expensive lenses even. However, you need to REALLY pay attention to the measurements. When it says what diameter and length of lens it will hold it will absolutely not hold anything bigger. Like I said, it's very well made and because of that there is no extra room in the case. The problem there is that while your lenses may fit it's unlikely your lens hoods will. I got the medium sized one to put on my belt so I could switch between my Canon 16-35mm and 135mm lenses. Both of those lenses fit just barely without the lens hoods. It would be really nice if along with various lengths there were options for various diameters as well.

I ordered this case specifically for my Nikkor 24-70 lens, knowing that if it fit, it would be very tight. Not surprisingly, the lens barely fit without the hood attached, but would not fit with the hood attached. Because I really wanted a case that could accommodate the lens with the hood attached, I had to find a solution. This was my solution: There is a zipper at the top of the case that attaches the orange inside liner to the black exterior fabric. The zipper on my case seemed inside-out, but you can still unzip it to reveal two layers of foam padding. There is a thicker, denser outer layer and a thinner, softer inner layer. I measured the height of the lens hood and carefully removed a length of the softer, inner layer of foam padding to accommodate the lens hood. Now, the bottom half of the case is the original smaller diameter to fit the smaller end of the lens, and the top half of the case is a larger diameter to fit the larger end of the lens with the hood attached. The fit of the case is now just right and there is still an adequate thickness of padding to protect the lens. This is a very beefy case that provides protection from almost any kind of abuse, short of dropping it on a rock. There are multiple ways to attach the case to a pack or luggage. Normally I would prefer a top that zips to keep dirt and debris out, but the top of this case folds down 1-2 inches over the bottom of the case and is secured with a buckle. That should keep everything out except water. If you are looking for a heavy duty case and don't intend to store a lens hood, or alternatively, are willing to make a few modifications yourself, this is a great case. If not, a different case may be a better choice.

I received this item as part of the Amazon Vine program.Pros,+easy to use+Corners are protected+well padded+additional anchors for mountingCons,-a bit hard to fit a 82mm lens hoodOverall, 4.5/5This case is a decent case. It is easy to use and has good padding. The size is decent for my needs and fits my lens like a glove. As for lens hood, it's a bit tight, but it did fit. The additional mounting/anchors are nice and they are perfect for travel. Not bad

It's built like a tank, a very thick padded tank.I have accumulated a bunch of singular lens cases over the years that come in every size and build quality. This lens case by Cwatcun is a beast for it's size. You won't have to worry about any lens that fits inside.I shoot Sony and I was able to get all of my 'fifty' lenses with no trouble. My 65 Voigtlander fit as well, and it has a barrel shape more than most. The Sony 20mm also fit but I would say that is as 'fat' as the case can go. Length wise I was able fit a Samyang 100mm Cine macro f/2.8 lens...teeth and all. That would be about as tall of a lens as will fit. Pretty nice.Built like a tank, and has just about every conceivable way to attach it to your person. D rings on both sides, and a thick braided nylon loop for hand carrying , and also a durable and large nylon velcro sleeve for slipping this on your belt. In between the thick nylon rope there is a safety clip, sort of like a carabiner. They thought of everything with this case.Good quality here...recommended!

I purchased the large case since I have many full-frame lenses that I thought would fit into it. Many of them do...with one frustrating caveat...I have to remove the lens hood to get them in easily. If it helps you, here are my Sony lenses (full frame, unless noted otherwise) that fit into this large case "as is" (with their hoods still attached):Sony 20mm f1.8Sony 24mm f1.4Sony 24mm f2.8Sony E 10-20PZ F4Here are the ones that JUST barely fit IF I remove their lens hoods:Sony 90mm f2.8Sony 16-35mm f2.8Sony 24-70 f2.8Sony 24-105 f4Sony E 18-105 f4My lenses that clearly do NOT fit:Sony 50mm f1.2Sony 70-200mm f2.8Tamron 35-150 f2-2.8There are a couple of the "just barely" lenses that I can cram into this case with their hood on (facing up), but once inside the case, they're a little tough to grab and pull out since they're so snug.To be fair, the photo on their page shows a lens without a hood next to the case, but I feel compelled to keep the hoods with my lenses, both for cutting down lens flares when shooting on sunny days, but also just to protect the lens.As for the case's material, this is a very heavy duty lens case which I think would go a long way towards protecting your glass from the elements and from being bumped or dropped. I just hate to pack up a lens and leave the hood behind. (I guess maybe I should have gone with the X-Large...although I wasn't looking for a way to transport my 70-200.)
