How To Care For Your Bow

To prolong the life of your bow, always loosen the bow hair after playing to prevent warping. Gently turn the screw counter clockwise to loosen and clockwise to tighten before you play. Without rosin, your violin might sound too faint or thin. Achieve a clearer sound by using the included quality rosin. Work the rosin back-and-forth along the bow hair from the frog to the tip.

How To Tune Your Violin

Using the included chromatic tuner, tune your violin by carefully turning the tuning pegs in the peg box. Achieve a perfect sound with the fine tuners in the tailpiece.

At the beginning we were hesitant about this violin, even our violin teacher said that she didn’t know how it would be later on, because the brand didn’t have good reviews according to her. However, the violin has been great for my daughter to learn, and after 15 months of using it, it has held very well. The shoulder rest had to be replaced, the one it brought didn’t work for us, but overall, the performance and quality had been great!

Item was well packed, no blemishes, can not yet report on performance as Xmas present for grand child. Only reason for 4-star is the rosin was completely crystallized.

Very reasonably priced and high quality instrument. The seller responds quickly to my question/concern and shipped the violin to me promptly and securely. It's easy for me to tune the violin for my daughter and the sound quality is great. This is the second time that I bought from this seller (3/4 size this time, and I bought a 1/2 size before). Very satisfied with the purchase.

We were excited to get this beginner violin in for our daughter but found that the rosin was severely cracked and one of the bows had damaged strings that were loose and coming off. So before she can even begin her lessons, we are having to spend more money on repairing the issues that it came with. Although we had damaged components that came with this violin, so far we’re happy with the violin itself.

Bought this violin September 2019. The violin sounds great and seemed like a good deal for the cost and accessories included. Within less than 6 months of a 5th grader practicing about 3 times a week, we noticed the back piece of the bridge that secures it to the body of the violin was buckling. A well versed violinist advised it appeared to be a manufacturing defect so I headed to amazon to seek assistance. The support page offered contact information for the manufacturer. My first contact with Cecilio was March 2020. No response. Reached out again. No response. Reached out a third time figuring the zero response was due to the covid issue and limited staff. Nothing. Just contacted them again. Awaiting a response. But I have a feeling this will be a lost cause and a flush of $200. Disappointing. I expected better from what I have read to be a decent company with reliable starter violins. If seeking a violin with Dependable support, it may be best to look elsewhere.

Awesome beginner violin!!! After watching a few YouTube videos on how to set up the strings, which if done properly prevents the pegs from slipping, tuning, and how to rosin the bows (lightly sandpapered the rosin surface before using it on the bows), the violin created a great sound. I am new to the violin but not music and instruments and I couldn't be happier with the price and quality of this beginner violin and all of the goodies it came with!!

I bought this for a 4th grade student. I'm delighted with it. It easily serves the needs of a student in elementary or early middle school. It plays well, sounds good, is easy to tune and stays in tune, and the accessories are all decent quality and work well. I cannot say that this would be the instrument of choice for an older, more accomplished player but for a beginner, it costs less than six months' rental of a more typical student instrument, and for that you get your own, brand new instrument that in many cases will sound better than a rental that's been abused for years.

This is the first year that my son is in band at school. Of course we got to band registration so late that all of the violins you could rent for the year were gone. I went to a music store looking for a Violin and then to Amazon. We choose the CVN-300 because we watched a music teacher review it on youtube. She played it and it sounded beautiful. The music teacher reviewer liked the CVN-100,200 & 300. But said if you can afford the CVN-300 compared to the CVN-200 you would not be sorry and that it was well worth the price difference (about $30). Before I saw the review I was all set to buy the CVN-200 but at the last minute switched to the 300 after watching the review and hearing the difference between the 200 & 300. The instrument is a beautiful color and does not look cheap. It looks exactly the same as the $400 instrument the music store was going to sell us. We could not be any happier. My sons' music teacher at school said it was a nice instrument. We are very happy that we decided to purchase the CVN-300 and would recommend it to any parent whose child may or may not play again the next year. This is a Good buy.
