I tested it with an AR-15 at 25 yards with a Vortex Strikefire2 scope and after centering the red dot on the scope with the laser, the shots came out deviated to the left about 4 or 5 inches, it worked well for a .177 rifle but not for a rifle that uses 5.56 and .223 ammunition.

Nice product for a very reasonable price. Pretty much covers all bore sizesJust fit to bore careful not to over tighten being plastic. Will definitely get you on the target to sight in for further accuracy.

I really like this bore sighter. It's easy to use and adapts to most calibers/gauges you may have. Of note each of the little colored adapters has a range of size, so you have to remember to add a half turn, or take off a half turn as needed from the boresight to ensure the right fit. You don't want to have to force the adapter into the muzzle, nor have it wiggle. I did note with an external turkey choke, it's hard to not have some wiggle due to the difference between the choke and actual muzzle. In any event, I was able to boresight multiple optics in minutes and am ready to hit the range for final sight in. And that's key. This is not "sighting in." It is zeroing your optic to make it easier and faster to do distance sight in on the range. Definitely a must-have for any shooting enthusiast. 5 stars!

I’ve used this kit several times on different firearms and it does what it’s supposed to do. Well worth the cheap price. It will get your shots on the paper to make sighting in much faster.

Instructions aren’t very clear so it takes a bit to realize how to use and adjust. Once that was figured out I was able to bore sight four guns in a short time. The batteries were close to worthless so make sure you buy batteries before you receive the kit.
