This item shipped and arrived fast. This CV boot crimping tool works really well and is very easy to use. The crimping tool comes loosely packaged in plastic with some stainless steel crimping rings. The rings have multi adjustable notches to fit almost any size car or pickup truck CV boot or tie rod. This tool does not take much effort to compress the banding rings. It does require clearance. You just have to make sure to line up the crimp section of the band to an area where you can fit the pliers and get a squeeze on them. The tool feels very durable being made of metal with padded handles and does what it is designed to do. Overall this is a nice tool to add to your collection. I rated this item 5 stars.
Value vs. CHEAP and counterproductive!!!!

You don’t offer negative stars or no stars !! I’m at negative 100.The “pliers” work against themselves by simply not doing what they were designed to do, doing it so perky that the connection can be trusted , or they cut the clamp upon “crimping “. I broke the first 2/3 clamps myself (and I ain’t an idiot ). Then , I took the tool and the remaining clamps the size I needed to a certified mechanic and they had the same experience. End result : money spent , a job incomplete and a very dissatisfied customer. I own a business and if I owned this one I would be offering some sort of compensation. Losing my time is one thing, paying a shop to discover the same thing is another and the WORST of all Is being out time and money and a job incomplete and not having ransoortaton. This stuff is junk , it’s like the FDA , we are the lab rats out here in the world. Others design stuff and call it good … when in reality it should have never been available to the public. I want credit of some sort. . Thanks.

The set was really cheap and I accidentally cut my axle boot instead of my tie rod boot. I got these in a day and I was able to fix my mistake. It's been like 3 months now and it hasn't come off once.

The first clamp I used snapped when I tightened with the tool. The 2nd loosened up within a week because it doesn't fit the same as the OEM therefore it let out all the grease and I ended up needing a whole new axle. It may work for your vehicle but it didn't for my Volvo.
