The look and weight of the embosser was impressive, but it does not work. We tried on several different books that had a variety of thickness and when the embosser was used, you could barely read it and in some cases, you could not read it at all. On thinner paper, the embossed tore right through the page. My granddaughter was delighted to receive it, but was extremely disappointed in the outcome. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Tested it before giving as a gift. It barely makes a faint mark on the paper. Unreadable. Disappointed

Possibly the most disappointing gift I’ve ever purchased. I was so excited to get this for my daughter who loves books. This thing can’t even make an indention on anything, well possibly toilet paper, but certainly not any books we have. The review didn’t allow for photo or video for me to share although there was nothing to see so I guess that’s the point. If you color it with a pencil you can begin to see a bit but thumbs down!
