It is awesome to use. Recommend to buy. Not for heavy duty, but excellent choice for outdoor activities. Perfect size, weight and works quick and efficiently.

This thing is dangerous. I took a leap of faith after the mixed reviews and I got bit. I had used it for Christmas on low setting to keep a pot of soup warm with just a faint smell of burning plastic. Figured it was from the stuff from manufacturer so didn't think much of it. Used it tonight and I'm so glad I didn't leave it unattended. The entire thing just melted...it was on medium for about 30 minutes when the temp knob melted and dropped off...so i figured "just let me finish and I'll unplug and throw it out. I didn't get the chance. About 20 mins later, the bottom was smoking and you can see what happened to the counter. 2 of the feet melted off and it was just teetering. I don't have the packaging or this would be going back. Shame, it was convenient but not worth burning my house down.

My stove/oven is broken ($$$$$ to fix) so I've had to purchase hot plates. This one so far is the best I've purchased. The heat elements provide for a close to consistent temperature unlike the coil hot plate heating elements. Sleek look. Properly clean the elements before cooking. You'll get smoke, burnt on stink, and shorten the lide of your hotplate if you don't

The BroilKing I was using for canning (because I have a glass top stove) stopped working suddenly. Unfortunately the price for those went up to nearly $200.I needed an alternative and found this $40 gem. The burner size was the same as the BroilKing. Others had commented that it's works well with their canner, so I ordered it.Excellent decision! I've already used it for multiple canning batches.However, as others have mentioned, the outside of this thing gets HOT! Don't let small kids near it!I placed it on a metal oven tray for safety and to protect my countertop. But it plays very nicely with my cast-iron frying pan as well as my canner. Even though the burner is quite a bit smaller than the canner, it has no problem getting the canner up to and holding it at 10 lbs of pressure.I'm considering getting a backup, just in case this one stops working in the middle of a canning session. (At this price I could get 2 more and would still save money compared to a BroilKing! HA!)

I've been using the CUSIMAX Double Burner for a few weeks now, and I'm thoroughly impressed. It's been helpful for my kitchen, allowing me to cook multiple dishes simultaneously with ease. The ceramic infrared cooktop is surprisingly durable and easy to clean, and the dual control feature makes it a breeze to adjust the heat on each burner independently. In my experience, the 1800W power is more than enough for most of my cooking needs, and the stainless steel base provides a sturdy foundation. One minor drawback is that the glass plate can get quite hot during extended use, but it's not a major concern. Love this hotplate! Great heat distribution, very stable for any pot or pan, we even use it with a wok and it works perfectly. It looks nicer than anything else I have had, it's durable enough for daily use, great value!Do be aware that the whole thing gets hot on top and sides. It's perfectly safe and we have never had any problems with it but I think if we were cooking with kids I would be nervous about them touching the rounded sides.

I'll start off with the good. I like that this hot plate has a turn dial on the back that turns the hot plate on and off. That's very good for safety just in case you accidentally turn the temperature dials on the front on. I think if you have kids that like to touch things, that's a very good safety feature to have. If you want to buy this as a replacement for a stove, I wouldn't recommend it. The hot place turned off after maybe 5-10 minutes of using it. Once it turns off, it stays off for maybe 3-5 minutes before turning on again. I think it did this so it can cool down a little and not overheat which makes sense but it makes cooking longer. For example, if you want to boil something it's going to take longer than it would with a stove to heat up. Also,I don't know what material was on the hot surface (I think it's rubber) but when the plates were hot it smelt like that material and in some cases, I was scared it might be burning while I was cooking. Although this wouldn't be a good replacement for a stove and it took longer to cook, I would still recommend it since it did work and I was able to cook with it. Overall, you buy it so you can cook and I was able to do just that.

Both controls on the unit seem to be pretty straightforward, one to turn it on, the other to control the temperature. But not really. First of all, it's really slow, if I want to boil a pot of water, it takes forever if I didn't set it to the highest, even if I set it to the highest, it's still slow. For example, to cook pasta, when it finally boiled, I want to turn the heat lower, so it keeps boiling, without coming out of the pot. That is so difficult because even when I turn the dial to minimum, it will keep the high temperature for a long time, I have to take the pot off the stove from time to time to avoid a messy countertop.Another thing annoys me is I have no idea what touched the dial, maybe I turned it when my hand was oily? The ON/OFF sign on the dial are already gone. I think it's normal that kitchen appliances to be contaminated by oil.

Bought this to use with a pressure canner as I have a glass stovetop. Wasn’t sure if it would work well enough to get the canner to the proper psi but it absolutely did and had no issues keeping it there.
