I got the orange one and I love the color but i wish the controls were more visible on it. Also i don't know if this has an automatic boil over shut off feature.

Purchased for hot pot at home and it does its job well, while looking pretty too. Can't ask for much more than that

First off, I love induction cooking. I've had pretty much every type of stove out there...regular electric coil type stoves, solid hob electric, glass tops, gas (propane & natural gas). Induction beats them all. The speed that pans heat up is unbelievable and adjusting the temperature gives an almost immediate result. There is also virtually zero waste heat like there is with a gas stove. With that said though, I didn't buy this to cook with...at least not right now. I recently purchased a mid-sized portable power station to have in case of power outages or emergencies (solar panels to come soon). And after watching a bunch of YouTubers who have converted their cars, vans, etc. into little mini-campers...I noticed that almost all of them use a power station & induction for their cooking needs. So that seemed like it would be a good fit for my emergency needs. The unit itself is nice looking and I got it for a reasonable price. Upon arrival...I unboxed it, plugged it in, put a pan on it and cranked up the heat. Within seconds the pan was hot. Then I just let it cool down, boxed it back up and put it away with the rest of my emergency stuff. Please keep in mind that if you are thinking of buying ANY induction cooktop, you must have induction capable pans! In the reviews for any induction cooktop (not just this one) you'll often see people mention that the burner doesn't work, it just beeps at them. That's what these things do when you turn them on and they don't detect a pan...which very likely means that the pan you're using is not induction capable. Any easy way to test if a pan will work is to see if a magnet will stick to the bottom of the pan. If it does, it will work with induction. Most pans bought brand new will have a label somewhere on the box that will let you know what type of stove the pans is good for. Very few of the cheap, non-stick pans that are sold at big box stores will work. However, most of the pans sold at Ikea will.

Quick setup and then tested with a sauce pan and 10" stainless skillet. Water came to boil quickly and was able to reduce to simmer with ease. Fry test with eggs allowed a medium cook temp for perfect over easy. I'm pleased with the performance and style in my kitchen.
