CURT custom wiring connectors are the easiest way to outfit your vehicle with a CURT trailer wiring connection. They are built with some of the most advanced technology in the industry, and each one is custom-fitted to work with a specific make and model. Some automotive manufacturers install a special socket on the vehicle to be used for vehicle-to-trailer wiring. Although this special socket is not equipped on every vehicle, a CURT custom wiring connector -- also called a T-connector -- utilizes the socket for simple, stress-free installation. Rather than requiring you to cut, splice and solder into your vehicle's wiring system, the custom wiring connector uses a single OEM-compatible plug and instantly provides a standard, universal vehicle-to-trailer wiring connection, typically in the form a 4-way flat. All CURT custom wiring connectors are made vehicle-specific for the easiest possible installation and the best fit. This particular plug-in connector provides a 4-way flat socket and is designed to be a custom wiring option for certain years of the Honda Odyssey (factory tow package required; to verify your vehicle compatibility, see application info). It comes with all necessary hardware to establish a solid connection. It also comes with a dust cover to keep the connector socket clean when not in use. To ensure long-lasting reliability, all CURT custom wiring connectors are thoroughly tested for optimal functionality. Stress is the last thing you should feel when towing a trailer -- whether you're hauling your RV to that favorite camping destination, your ATVs up to the hunting grounds or your fishing boat to the new hidden hotspot. At CURT, we think your towing equipment should add to the enjoyment of your experience, not detract from it.

Used YouTube instead of the included instructions, but it was really easy to install. I’m somewhat handy tho. You do need to be comfortable piercing the steel under the molding with a self tapping screw for the ground. My Odyssey did not have a spare screw hole.

The instructions were OK. I recommend watching a YouTube first then these instructions will make more sense. The wiring harness is quality and woks well.

Was easy to install and worked for about 6 months until the left blinker/brake light failed. I still have running lights on the left side but nothing else. The trailer works fine when connected to another vehicle. All the fuses have been replaced, and I even replaced the 4-pin connector, but it did to no avail. The problem is the connector itself that plugs into the van.

a YouTube video and a lot of patience will make this into a 30 min job. besides taking a few panels off, it was easy to plug and route the more than long enough cable.

Is this easy to install? Yes, with basic hand tools (plus an impact driver with 1/4 inch socket). Are the instructions useful? Meh. I already know how to use pliers and pop out Honda panels. I'm pretty good with double sided tape too. What I'd like to know is why is there a second connector dangling by a white wire that everyone seems to just tuck behind the panel and ignore. I'd like to know why this unit ships with two butt splice connectors and a ring connector that never get mentioned. And how are we supposed to know what is behind the body panel where we fasten the ground until we drill into it? Most of the videos seem to skip over anything remotely challenging to make the install seem trivial. It is but information here would help. And what's with the fist full of zip ties. I used three and felt like I was being generous.

Installation was easy enough, just had to remove some panels and run the wires. When it came to hooking it up to the trailer, nothing was lighting up. I rechecked the thee fuses that were included and made sure they were installed correctly. After doing some research on YouTube, it turns out the 10amp fuse, that should’ve been installed in the red fuse box inline with the red power wire, was missing. Egg on my face for not checking, but nowhere in the instructions did it mention this, and they only gave you thee fuses so I assumed it was good to go. After installing the fuse, everything worked great, but in order to reach it, I had to pull off the panels again. Buy a 10amp fuse and put this in first and you’ll have no problems.

Installed it. The running lights work, but left/right indicators do not. Checked the fuses, OK. Ground = OK. Input power = OK. Input Left/Right signals = TOGGLING OK, but the black box outputs NOTHING (actually, outputs for left/right are stuck around 1.2 and 2v, even though the input signals are toggling 0 to 12V ok). Tried with load (ie. trailer) disconnected: still stuck at 1.2 a 2V. Highly probable that the black box is defective. Many wasted hours. Shameful that Curt ships products DOA.EDIT: received a replacement, this one worked fine. Original's black box was defective. INEXCUSABLE that CURT ships product with time-zero fails. Many wasted hours. Annoyed.

Was easy to install. The provided instructions were clear and easy to understand. It also comes with zip ties to keep the wires nice and tidy as well as a double sided tape for the module. worked like a charm. The price is similar to anywhere else.
