This is a perfect fit for my 22 titan. It's plugged directly into factory harness and all my lights worked the first time without having to rewire it. I welded the bracket to my hitch and it's super sturdy and good material to weld.

I have a Nissan Pathfinder and installed a trailer hitch primarily so I had a hook up point to pull the vehicle from the rear. As it turned out, the cameras on the vehicle made it extremely easy to hook up trailers so I started doing a lot of trailer work with my car instead of my trucks. The vehicle is low and I ripped off the trailer plug receptacle. I did not know my Nissan had a USCAR plug, but when I figured that out, I ordered this unit. A very simple mount and play! I wish all my vehicles had USCAR plugs.

The leads for the four wire plug in are a bit short. About 4 inches longer would have been perfect.

Wasn’t plug and play for my truck, with a little splicing I made it work. Still was a cheap alternative for my Tacoma

I ordered this for my 2000 Ford F-250 Super Duty at the same time as I ordered a Reese hitch for it. My truck originally only had the 4 way plug, so my thought was with this I’d be able to keep the 4 way and then also gain the functionality of a 7 way as well. Both products came in the same day so I went to mount the bracket for this on the Reese hitch prior to installing on the truck and immediately noticed you only get 4 screws total, when there’s spots for 6 (2 to mount the bracket on the hitch or vehicle, and 4 to mount the plug to the bracket). So I used 2 for the bracket and then 2 on the plug. Not world ending but it would have been nice to receive 6 so we didn’t have empty slots. From there a friend and I went to install the hitch on the truck. After mounting the hitch I went to find the USCAR plug for this harness and it was nowhere to be found, even though this harness said it fit my truck. Maybe my truck doesn’t have a factory tow package, it’s 20 years old and I bought it about a year ago so I’m unaware of what all it originally came equipped with from the factory. However, my truck did not have the USCAR plug. It did have the 7 wires needed to wire this system into place though. I just had to cut the plug off of this and then use butt connectors to install it into the trucks wiring. After that it works fine, but it turned a 30 second plug and play job into about 30-45 minutes of trying to find a wiring diagram and having to match things on my own. Not the end of the world because I was able to get it to work, however this is not what I thought I was getting. At the end of the day I’m giving this an overall rating of 4 stars because it is made well, but they short you 2 screws and also didn’t fit my truck as advertised. I would have rated 3 stars, but I’m going to say the fitment issue is probably my own doing since I don’t know if I have the factory tow package or not.

I don't tow, but I purchased this to replace my new trucks regular 7 pin connector since it didn't come with a 4 pin connector. It plugged right into my 2004 Chevy Silverado 5.3L ZR1 trucks factory harness. Checked compatibility through etrailer.com which is also how I found this harness. Installed the bracket right into the bumper with self tappers, tied it all up, installed my tailgate LED strip and works just fine. Would definitely recommend.

I have had this item for less than a year and it started to fail while pulling a trailer. I only use the 4-pin hook up and have never hooked anything up to the 7-way. Once I got looking into why it was not working properly I noticed that the 7-way was loaded with corrosion and making a connection between 2 of the pins. When I tried to clean the corrosion with baking soda, water mix with a soft bristle brush one of the 7-way pins snapped off. I was very cautious about how I was cleaning it and knew I had to be since I needed to pull a trailer the following weekend. When I tried to contact Curt about it I still have not heard any response. In the picture you can see the tab that broke off on the table just behind the unit. The only thing I can think is that the unit door is not very tight and it will let water in. Obviously, water and electricity make corrosion.
