Even though it's kind of heavy, it's still very comfortable if you have a round head, which apparently I do. It kind of looks like a WW2 army helmet, but it protects my head so I guess I don't care a whole lot about looks.

I have had 3 helmets for kitesurfing and all feel like either have a weigh on my head or have a lip on them that catches and gives whiplash. After some research I came across this and it fits the bill, nice and light and I would only question the peak being able to cause whiplash. Have now used this for several months and can say that I have crashed many times and this protects me well.

This is the old standby kayak helmet, and it works fine, and fits a wide range of head sizes. The adjustment system is very primitive and a real pain in the neck to adjust. It uses only one strap that goes around the back of the head and chin, so there's no separate way to adjust the head circumference tension and chin strap. I much prefer helmets have that a wheel adjustment on the back of the head, like all modern bike and ski helmets do, so I can get a really tight fit around the head without having to pull the chin strap super tight. On the plus side, this helmet has proven it works okay and doesn't have any major uncomfortable points once you get it adjusted.

Love this helmet. It fits and feels great. I started with a S/M because my head measured EXACTLY between the two sizes, and that was too tight, so I did return for the M/L. Very happy with this purchase.

This is a very comfortable helmet, but my head size is right on the border between two sizes, and the instructional videos make it seem a lot easier to move the O-brace than it is. It’s a very secure, comfortable helmet, but not super adjustable.
