It's necessary to change water filters every 3 months here because of the volcanic silt so it's nice to have found a package of 4 that will last probably the year unless we get more rain. These help filter out the mud taste to the water but you can still tell that it has high mineral content. There haven't been any issues that I know of for leakage. They seem functional and durable. I think longevity has to do with your area and how much silt there is to know how frequently you need to change your filters.

Our water is so nasty here we can’t even drink the tap water or give it to our animals. I use a whole house filter outside as well as an RO system inside. These filter fit in both and really help clean the water so there’s no spots and it tastes great.

I find Im changing them every month because they clog with dirt and etc too quickly. The 5 micron is too fine for our well. My last filters would last closer to 6 months. The trouble with them being so fine is that once they get full of dirt and etc the water pressure in your house drops way off.
