Manufactured of the toughest stainless steel, these superb nesting measuring spoons are oval in shape to reach into the smallest spice jar. The gently curved handles curl under, so the spoons can sit securely on the counter without tipping over. You won't have to worry about capacity measurement decals wearing off over time: Cuisipro stamps the capacity right into the handle of these measuring spoons. This set includes the essentials: 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 tsp, and 1 tbsp. They attach to a removable clip, or can nest for storage.

Saw reviewed on a reputable cooking site that these were accurate, as well as well balanced. They feel terrific. I’m glad i ordered these: they’re sturdy, good looking and practical in their design.

Quality, weight balanced and very smooth edges. The shape is perfect for dipping and skimming dry ingredients from larger containers while baking.

I've been looking for another set of oval measuring spoons and found these to be of good quality stainless steel. They fit well into the spice jars and because they have a curve tip on the handle, you could set them down on the counter without spilling the contents. The set comes with a connecting ring which is opened easily, but, personally, I prefer to not use the connecting ring. They're rated to be very accurate, as well.

Great material; they hold up so well! I love how they are long and skinny and therefore can fit into spice containers so much easier. I have multiple sets, and I love them!

Overall, I like these measuring spoons. I ended up buying the odd sizes set as well and combined both sets on the one ring. The 1/8th teaspoon was included on both, so I left one of those out. I'm happy with the purchase. I have other sets that are thicker gauge and arguably better quality, and can include more sizes in the one set like the CIA (Culinary Institute Of America) measuring spoons, but these spoons have one design feature which I found myself wanting which wasn't on any of the other sets I own. They have that curved lip on the end of the handle, which allows you to set a spoon level on your bench top. I found this feature very useful when say I want to freshly grind some pepper from my pepper mill, and needed the measuring spoon to stay level. With my other spoons, I can't tell you the number of times the spoon would tilt this way and that, spilling the ground pepper, which I would then have to scrape up. This thoughtfully designed feature alone made the purchase worthwhile for me. The spoons also have a long narrow shape, making it easier to say fit a spoon into a narrow spice jar to get the spice you want out. Whoever designed these measuring spoons, understood the issues cooks face when using them. They are also one single piece of stainless steel. Often, other poorly made spoons which say have the handles spot welded (or worse, simply glued on), the handles will come off, making the spoons quite useless. I don't think it would be wise to try and use these spoons to measure out something thick and viscous, like stiff molasses or honey that has crystallized, as they're not as thick a gauge as other sets, so the handles "may" bend. I can't say if they will or not, as I'm not going to test it, but for everyday measuring use, they'll be just fine. Overall, happy with these measuring spoons.

This company is offering a very good product, but they badly need to clean up the product description and answer the erroneous reviews. From the current product description: "Made of durable polypropylene" -- and then there are reviews that say the customer expected stainless steel and got plastic -- At the very least from my most recent experience this is not the case. The only non-stainless steel piece is the ring that holds the spoons together and I think this is probably an improvement as the other part tended to rust.

The folks at America's Test Kitchen tend to annoy me with their gadget recommendations. I don't care if it matches your cuff links, fellas, I wear short-sleeve shirts. They argued that this set was the winner, because it included a fifth spoon - 1/8 teaspoon - that most sets don't include, and because they have an oval making it easier to get into narrow-neck jars.I find that I never need that smallest spoon, and I have a harder time pouring a spoon full from, say, a box of table salt, than I had with spherical-bowl spoons. They are also harder to fill with something like lard, since you have to rotate the spoon about the axis of the handle; with a spherical-cavity spoon, you can rotate around any axis, which makes it easier to keep your hands clean. At the "non-business end" of the spoons, there is a bend in the spoon that should make it easy to hold the spoon with two fingers - but I like to keep my spoons on the ring, and the bend makes it more difficult for the spoons to easily nest by themselves.Still, the spoons have a nice heft to them, and the finish of the metal is superlative, which makes it quick to rinse clean and hang-dry. That oval shape I libeled above makes it faster to drip dry - which is important if you need ti measure ground coriander not long after measuring honey. These spoons are intelligently designed, whether or not one agrees with their design decisions, and they are crafted nicely from superior materials. I could have oaid a little less, I suppose, but I have no doubt that these spoons will bed a joy to use for decades to come. I can't afford to buy tools that don't do the job reliably. I hate to agree with America's Test Kitchen - IMO, Amazon reviews tend to be more instructive - but I guess this is the acorn that the blind pig finds every once in a while.
