Their is a slight learning curve to this waffle maker. We used the Belgian waffle mix from Winn Dixie. First try I could not get the waffles completely round. I use milk instead of water when making these so now I add 1/2 cup more than called for which makes the batter a bit runnier. I also move from side to side when pouring into the slot at the top. Once I changed these 2 things I have prefect waffles every single time. I use the #5 setting so they are a darker brown and crispy. I also bought some butter flavored cooking spray (this will leak out the bottom) so make sure you set your maker on a round pan or something so you don't have a big mess. I spray top and bottom plate make 2 waffles then spray again. Never have had and issue of it sticking when done this way. If you choose to use chocolate chips grab the mini ones they work so much better!Kids love it, I love it so a win win for our family!

This vertical waffle maker has restored my love of waffles! Soooo much less mess and guesswork if you follow directions. It does NOT leak batter! Do not regret purchasing one second. Smells a little weird/hot in first heat up. But that goes away after the first waffle. Maybe discard your first waffle but after that first one the smell went away. This thing makes super tasty waffles to perfection. My favorite setting is 3 or 4. I gave up on waffles until I tried this one purely because of the mess the traditional waffle irons always seemed to make. Would buy this one again if needed and recommend to anyone who wants to make tasty homemade Belgian style waffles. Thank you Cusinart for another wonderful product!

Absolutely love this waffle maker. Setting 3, turns out the most perfect waffle. Love the batter cup that comes with it. It's very handy to attach to bowl ready for next waffle to be made.

I like the vertical design. I can actually leave it out on the counter, which is great. Not difficult to use. Takes about one “test@ waffle to figure it out. My family approves.

No hay mucho que decir. Es bonita y práctica. Pero si eres como yo que te encanta experimentar con nuevas recetas , bueno, para eso no es la ideal. En ese caso es mejor una horizontal , por lo que algunas mezclas son más espesas que otras, y en la vertical habrá mezclas que no se acomoden bien . Pero la wafflera llega con un recetario y si sigues al pide de la letra quedan unos waffles hermoso, perfectos. Si quieres una wafflera bonita y funcional es de las mejores opciones. Debo decir que se ve MUY pero muy resistente , hoy en día es difícil encontrar cosas que no se vean y sean casi desechables unos usos y listo, a la basura, no, está wafflera es de los pocos de PRECIO BAJO pero con la MEJOR calidad. Es todo lo que hay que decir.

I bought this a little skeptical as to how I could cook a waffle upright without the batter oozing out, but this waffle maker is amazing! It makes a perfect waffle everytime and it leaves no mess to clean up! I do follow the instructions by allowing it to preheat and I use the measuring cup as not to overfill. My son likes to add chocolate chips and I recommend using the mini chips in the batter. Same if you prefer pecans-I would make sure they are finely chopped. I highly recommend this waffle maker!

Absolutely Fantastic. Tried it out this morning for breakfast and they turned out great.Deep square pockets/thick and crisp (if your recipe is right) and easy to use. without any over flow.Non stick coating is fab. No need to spray/rub any fat on the surface. Let’s you know when they’re ready.I used it on the No-4 setting as i like waffles more browned and they came out perfect. It comes with a good recipe book which i still need to go through. If you’re a true waffle fan then i highly recommend this machine.Have tried atleast 7-8 brands and acc. to me it’s the best one and is at par with the Ninja vertical one too. I prefer a round shape so that’s why i bought this. it’s a personal choice. Go for it. you willnot be disappointed.

My daughter loves Belgian waffles and I’ve been on the hunt for a machine for a while. When I saw this it intrigue me because it appears to be Space saving as well as I didn’t think there was a chance of creating a bad waffle with it. So far the waffles have been great I am not able to get a crispy waffle but I’m not sure if that is the mix or my setting on the waffle maker. I will play around with it to see. Cleaning it is extremely easy as nothing sticks to it so that is great. My only issue is they provide a cup for you to use to fill up the machine and I cannot get the exact amount correct in order for it not to overflow even using the cup. We’ve tried several different cups and amounts and I just cannot get it right I’m sure at some point I will master it but just know there is a slight learning curve. But overall I love it I would recommend it and I am very happy with the purchase.

So I tried this today to make waffles and holy smokes does it ever work great. From the box of Bisquik I used their measurements and it made a full 5 waffles. Great machine buy it if you love waffles.

I'm debating on giving 5 stars since I just used the waffle maker tonight for the first time but my experience has been great. I think I'll update this later and adjust the star rating if needed. Today I made 3 waffles. The first time I thought my batter was a bit thin and I used the # 3 setting recommended in the user guide. The # 3 setting was not crisp enough so I made another. Set on #4 and beefed up my batter. Oops, too thick! The batter only made about an inch headway down the maker so out with that one! Third time's a charm. Corrected my batter and got a much better result, golden brown and fluffy inside. I will try again on the # 5 setting because we like crispy waffles and see what happens. So I learned not to make my batter too thick and find out what setting suits my taste. Also, the cup used to fill the maker does give the absolute perfect amount to use. Don't over fill, the waffle won't look pretty and it's not necessary. The edges seal tight so the excess is at the top if you ignore the cup and overfill. Experiment the first couple of times so you can find the right consistency for your taste. This is such an improvement from a horizontal waffle maker where it's hard not to overfill. Best waffle maker I've had. I'd gladly give one as a gift.Pros:This is very easy to use. Set to the desired doneness and wait for the green light. Fill to maker using the filling cup. Wait for the beep. Eat your happy waffle.Clean up is so easy. Use a damp cloth to carefully wipe clean. I used a brush to remove a few crumbs between waffles and that worked very well.Vertical design lets gravity fill the plates evenly and the filling cup takes the guess work out of making a perfect waffle.Waffle removes easily from plates with non-stick tongs so no need to use a non stick spray.The waffle is truly a Belgian style waffle. Thick with deep set wells to hold a lot of melted butter and syrup.Fairly quick to the finish. About 3 mins for a dark, crisp waffle.The timer lights are big and easy to see and ready beeps are loud enough to hear if you step away to another area.Standing design is easier to store (in my kitchen anyway since I have limited shelf space).Excellent product with excellent price.Cons: If there is a down side so far I don't see it yet. If anything changes I'll let you know.However, you should pay attention to the user guide. The plate front/back and sides get HOT to the touch on the outside. Remember to only touch the clamp on the upper side near the funnel when opening or closing the maker. Once you are finished with the maker DO turn the setting to 1 and unplug. It does not cool down rapidly so exercise care when handling. Set it aside where you won't accidentally touch it. You want to keep the happy waffle feeling going so avoid any boo boos.
