If you are looking for a deep fryer and have limited space and performs like restaurant cookware- this is for you! It’s small but does an excellent job. It’s very easy to cleans and does French’s fries golden brown in 3 minutes. Totally impressed and it has a very fair price. They have could have done a better job on the electrical connector tho- David

This arrived one day early, the day that hurricane Beryl came on land. I wasn't expecting it until tomorrow. I also bought the Presto Kitchen Kettle and will be evaluating both. This initial review will be based on the components and not the operation, which will be done later. I really was interested in all the parts first. This mini fryer reminds me of the professional restaurant fryers. This Cuisinart unit has a submersion heating elements. The pro:* almost all of this unit is stainless steel, the outer housing, the oil reservoir, the fry basket, the heating elements* the oil reservoir is removable like a chafing dish* The heating elements lifts away for easier cleaning* The pro is basket is stainless steel and the con would be more difficult to clean, but a kitchen brush may help* The heat dial setting has a lot of temperature setting* The plug is magnetic, but is seated more securely and stronger than other brands* Performed well, really like this unit (07/22/2024)The con:* Not a smokeless eliminator fryer* Heating element has two thin wires which could easily be damaged when cleaning* Storage (height)I've attached some photos for your perusal.First use: shrimp and fish balls

I love these. They hold their heat very well, are easy to clean, have a heating element that is above the bottom so the corn meal does not burn and hold up for many years. Be carefull when wiping down the control because within the first year I could not read the temp numbers or any other print that was on the control panel. I think 409 was what I was using that was too strong. Get one and be happy you don't have to use those crummy, little, round fry daddy things any more. LOL

I checked wire cutter and America’s Test Kitchen for their reviews. This was the number one pick. Extremely well designed. Everything comes apart for easy cleaning. Heats up quickly. Good recipes come with machine

This deep fryer is so far so good. I use it to fry fries for my kids and it always turns out crispy.I had Waring deep fryer for 10 years and it finally broke up on me. I wanted to buy the same thing but it has been discontinued. I decided to give this a try after reading the reviews on it and I am glad I did.

I found very few reviews for this Cuisinart CDF-200 and bought it mostly on Cuisinart reputation, hopefully my review will prevent others from wasting time/effort/money on this deep fryer. It has what I (I'm a mechanical engineer with a background in data aquisition and controls) consider to be a fundamental design flaw. There are two temperature sensors mounted on the heating element. One that provides closed loop feedback control to regulate temperature and one that provides a hard cutoff if the high-limit temperature is exceeded. The high limit thermostat actually touches the heating element rather than being surrounded by oil which causes it to be hotter than the actual oil. I suspect this was intended to provide a safety shutoff in case the fryer was turned on with no oil, but it causes more problems than it fixes. My unit would heat to about 340F (should go to 375F) and would stop working with no easily visible indicator (power light still on, etc.) and would not reach the set temperature. I finally realized that the small recessed reset button had popped out, and pushing back in would allow the unit to start heating again but not beyond 340F.Overall, the build quality is trash, with lots of sharp edges and very thin sheetmetal, but I've come to accept that all consumer products are built this way and could have looked past it to give it 3-4 stars if the unit actually worked.Even if my unit was faulty (I certainly hope not all of their fryers are bad from the factory) I can point out multiple BAD design decisions. As an engineer, I'm begging consumers not to tolerate this garbage.
