We needed it for a zipline we have in the backyard for the grandkids. It works perfectly, allowing tons of fun!

Does just what it is supposed to do. Used for zipline around a very large tree. Don’t forget to protect the tree, though.

so this is actually a well made product. That is part of the problem if you intend to use it for a zip line. The looped ends have guide loops around them that help the cable keep a teardrop shape and keep it from fraying. The issue is, they make the loop ends too wide to fit the turn buckle properly. You can see in the pictures above, the old sling cable without guide loops and the new cable with guide loops. I'm not an engineer but did check with some friends that are and they all shared my same concern the angles and lines of pull would stress the metal of the turnbuckle and potentially cause it to sheer or fail.Ultimately, I decided to remove the guide loops which was challenging. If you do this , you may very well fray Some of the wire strands negatively affecting the cable. From all the turnbuckles I have looked at in zip line packages, they all seem to utilize a similar gauge wire and similar size turnbuckle. That being said, the opening of the turnbuckle is only 1/2 inch. while the two looped ends are each 3/16 and will fit the turnbuckle properly, they will not with the guide loops in place.Again, this product appears well made and may work great in other applications but you may run into issues with a zip line.
