Think of CrownCoat as a brush grade version of their very popular crown repair product CrownSeal. CrownCoat goes on fast and easy with a paintbrush - that's all it takes. Simply put a light coat over the entire crown followed immediately with a thicker topcoat. CrownCoat cures in two to four hours, that's about half the time as other products. Just make sure the temperature stays above freezing for four hours after application. One gallon covers about 40 square feet.

I live in a very sunny place, that is monsoonal -and the rains are starting- I never use my fireplace - (we are a tropical area) - but I noticed a worsening leak -long and short of it - this really did the trick!!

Works well and looks like a professional did it. I used a small brush and covered the entire top and sides of my chimney cap. I filled a few cracks with fireplace mortar cement, and covered it all with this after the mortar dried. Looks great and was easy to apply. Hardest part is getting around the front of the chimney caps without falling off the roof!

This is an amazing product. Easy to apply and stopped my crown leaks immediately. I would highly recommend this product for a budget friendly way to repair a cracked crown. I have recommended this to a contractor friend so he can start using it. I just really can't say enough good about it.

The picture listed on the bucket in the ad shows it as grey. This stuff is white. Not aesthetically pleasing in my case.

It's great, goes on like thick paint or thin mortar. I used it for the cap, and also for the first brick course on the bottom where it met the flashing. Neat, no cracks after a year and a half, flawless. It could come in a small container, I'll never use all this stuff.

This is an expensive product, but it works!!. I went to Utube to view how to apply it, and it goes on easily. I applied it to the top of my chimney, which stopped the leaks for many years, but they came back again. I called a chimney sweep for help, and he recommended putting the same Crown Coat about a foot down the sides from the top of the chimney. I did this, and no more leaks.

The Crown Coat I purchased last year is a great product, it has sealed my pre-cast concrete chimney crown cap completely.Easy to apply, vary good instructions and easy to follow.
