Work great to keep hawks away from your chickens!

We are thrilled with the detail. They will eventually be used to hopefully encourage more crows in our yard. (More crows will discourage the hawks who are way too interested in our chickens.) But right now they are busy hanging out on our mantle and making us smile.

Nice decoys. Between this and playing crow sounds every day, we have had alot less trouble with hawks. We are having more crows in the yard. Plus, these are fun scattered around the barn yard!!

GOOD:First I will say that the quality for the price is pretty good. They look nice, true to size, with the felt texture giving them an added realistic appeal. They definitely have held up under the spring thunderstorms and summer sun. I do not have them secured, and they've only fallen over in storms.THE NOT SO GOOD:Not really a knock against the product, but these just didn't perform the intended task that I ordered them for.I purchased the pair of crows after losing a chicken to red-tailed hawks, as I was told decoys would deter them. Not in the least. Not only do I still have a vast array of raptors (red-tailed, cooper's, red-shouldered, bald eagles, & vultures) circling daily, but I actually had the same red-tailed hawk swoop down inches from where I (and these crows) were standing and try to snatch a chicken. My caveman noises and cursing did the trick of saving my birds. So minus one star since they don't do a thing to deter these hawks around here, but they look pretty good to me.These "scare-crows", for me, are just decor at this point and have retired to the life if chair-crows.

The pictures make it look like they are hard plastic but they are actually soft and velvet

I often mistake them for the real bird. They are made well.

Have used these decoys on a handful of crow hunts now. They definitely pull in the birds, particularly if combined with some kind of movement (I use Mojo dove flickers, modified with black flocking tape) and, of course, calling. Size is good, probably 10% larger than your average crow. Flocking is high quality and hasn't worn down after a handful of hunts. Lightweight enough to hike in.Would be great if additional postures were offered. These are good decoys, considering 90% of advertised crow decoys seem to be Halloween decorations these days. If you are looking to hunt crows, absolutely get some form of flocked decoy. These birds are very, very intelligent.
