INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Cut desired cable length using scissors or hobby knife. Be sure to cut the cable straight and not at an angle.
  2. Remove screw on the connector cap, detach cap and firmly insert the cable. To make straight cables, simply leave the connector caps off.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If a cable is not working or there's a loss of tone or volume, tighten the screw as firmly as possible until a connection is made. If that doesn't work, try backing the screw off a little. If there's still no connection, make sure the cable is cut straight and firmly inserted into the connector.

Love this pedalboard wiring kit, this is my second one. So easy to use, just cut to length, no wire stripping and all my patch cables worked the first time.

Bit apprehensive about going down the solderless route again as previously, a different brand was not so good! However, needed custom cable lengths for a new board build… after investigating and reading many reviews, settled for this one. Crosby. It’s far exceeded my expectations. This kit is brilliant. Unobtrusive, silent and easy to create. Bought two kits but there was plenty of cable left from just using one. Will look to buy just the jacks only for another smaller build for a fly rig. Very impressed. Great product.(Board-Boss BCB90x)

Incredibly easy and dead quiet operation. Essential if you want to build a professional looking pedalboard.

They cables are solid and easy to make. The parts are highly consistent and fit together well. I have gorilla strength, so I overtightened one and had to remake it. Don’t overdo the screws and they should work well on a pedalboard if you’re not retooling things much. My rig will remain as it is for a very long period, so I expect they will work there for a very long time. No need to pay more; these are at least as good as D’Addario and Boss cable kits.

I set up my pedal board in a non traditional way, putting my always on pedals on top, but still wanting a traditional chain. This means needing some long patch cables. This kit SAVED me from having to use patch cables that were too long and gave me the freedom to put my pedals wherever I wanted.Assembly is somewhat easy. Push in the cable all the way into the connector, bend the cable back and screw in the back harness (USE a magnetic screwdriver for this).I got 5, perfect length, cables from this kit, keeping the underside of my board clean and simple! I love this product!!

My first impression was that this was going to be garbage. Glad I was wrong! The cable is small, but don't let it fool you. The sound is incredible. As can be seen in the picture, I was able to get pedals close! Too close actually and I'll have to deal with that, but Crosby cables exceeded my expectations for sure. One thing to note, and I can't stress this enough... DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN THE SCREW. I messed up 3 cables doing this. The screw only needs to be close to flush or flush with the cover. Fortunately, all I had to do was cut and reinstall the good cable into the jacks. I have leftover, with 3 mishaps, and actually bought a pair of extra jacks, so 6 lines. Would recommend, and will be purchasing another set.

If you are looking for a great solderless cable kit don't look further and buy these with confidence. It's hands down the best value for money you can find on the market. Super easy to assemble and they work and sound great. Small footprint and these work great with for instance the Boss ES-8 switcher. Highly recommendable and you can save yourself a lot of money compared with other brands. Great stuff from Crosby!

Once you're acquainted with the things that prevent a cable from working, these are great. Make sure the cable is in the tip far enough, then make sure the screw is tight enough. I thought these would be wayyy more finicky.IMO, this product is priced fairly. I think the better known alternatives are not. I'll pay for value. Those alternatives have a pretty poor value proposition. But people are ridiculous about cable. They obsess over replicating old technology to get "the tone." But for some reason think they need a $65 guitar cable, when in reality "the tone" probably came from long, coiled cable with oxidized hardware that was repaired with electrical tape (like the cheap kind at Menard's).Get it.

Easy to assemble. Enough length on the provided wire. Sound quality has been spot on so far. I used two packs (of 10) to make my board. A bit on the pricier side, but the quality is there. Out of 20 connections, all work perfectly. I have one hang up on my first round that required me to troubleshoot each cable individually. Once I found the problem cable I cut a small piece off, and replaced the tip. I love that you can continue to use the tips to make different sizes as needed. The shorter size I have is probably only 1 inch, but I was comfortable doing it because I can just take the tips off and use more wire to make a bigger cable after that. If you think about expensive interconnects, they can cost $4-5 a pop (if not more). I suppose these cables are right on par with those. Positives are the customizability (something I value a lot), sounds quality, and build quality. Negatives are: still on the pricier side compared to low cost bundles (admittedly lower quality), some DIY capability (while they have made the process SUPER simple, you can still have a faulty connection which requires a redo of that tip). I am DEFINITELY buying more when I need them. 5 stars from me.

**Update: I recently fixed my cables and they are currently working again. These cables can be tricky and frustrating at times but they are worth it when you get them working because they look nice and sound great. YOU HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT THE NEEDLE IN THE TIP IS POKING INTO/TOUCHING THE COPPER IN THE CABLE. I had to spend a lot of time going over mine and making sure that the copper was exposed enough to create a solid connection. Lets hope it lasts! The main thing to note with cables like these is that they have some short comings, but if you have patience then they can be a great asset to your board.Old review:Save your money. I like the look and the sound quality when they worked. I have only had these about a couple months and I not only had to play with the cables for hours to get them to work initially, but afterwards they even lost the connection!! And now are dead. I really liked how nice these made my pedal board look and sound so Im very disappointed that it didnt work out. Go with D'addario!
